A shiny cafe-table on Hindley Street, at dusk this evening. I had to resort to using my iPhone as my compact zoom camera was out of battery juice.
I’m thinking maybe a return to iPhone camera might be in order as it does make posting so easy. These days, my work-life balance is totally out of control and I need to get back to posting on Flickr.

Easy to see how this flat-topped mountain got it's name.
I wanted the sun to light up the sloping hill covered with arrowleaf balsamroot to enhance the shot. Took awhile but glad it finally did. Impressive tops to many of the mountains in central Oregon.
Thanks for your visit! Always appreciated.

A male leafcutter bee, probably Megachile centuncularis (patchwork leafcutter bee), feeding on the pollen of a calendula flower in my garden over the summer. I often saw these males (and female Megachile centuncularis, which are far easier to ID) at these stunning flowers; what a pretty place to enjoy a meal! The flower was sooooo orange, I actually had to desaturate this image a little!

Posted for the Happy Caturday theme "Under".
Under the table on the porch is one of the places where Sethi tries to hide from his pesky cousin Tofu. The strategy often works as Tofu usually doesn't notice him there.
Maybe I will post a photo of Tofu for the theme tomorrow.
Happy Caturday !
One of our resident Blackbirds has turned a patio table into his private landing strip when arriving for a snack. Only he hasn't yet quiet mastered touching down on a glass top runway. Oh happy days ... :-))
