this is my last "Ebay discovery" : a white "Horn Collection" coffee table on wheels
made of Baydur (a Polyurethane-Duromer patented by Bayer in the 70's)
a German fabrication with lines and shape typical of this brand of small cabinet and table
(Horn Collection still exists www.horn-collection.de but unfortunately no longer manufactures such products)
I think she will like very much between my 2 seats "4-4000" (design by RobinDay in 1970)
And the orange "Nesso" lamp adds just enough color to all ...
Five years ago, on a work-trip to Boulder, CO, I decided to turn off my rental car's GPS and Just Drive, and I found this pair of parabolic dish antennae just outside of Longmont.
This time around, I was able to find them again with the help of Bryce Bradford (www.flickr.com/photos/brb_photography/)
This table is made in an edition of 50 by The Gallery of wonderful.
Measuring 200x90x76 its made from Chestnut, the same wood used for school desks back in the 1950's. In homage to the school desk, you will find a vast storage compartment hidden in the middle of the table, which is accessed by removing the two hand-cast stainless steel ink wells on the top. The table is sealed and matt varnished for protection.
Other tables have been designed by Martin Rowson, Gary Taxali and Keaton Henson. They will set you back £7250
This small side table was designed to fit into a small space at the end or arm of a sofa. This is why it is quite small for its small footprint. The splay on the legs helps with stability. The legs are wedged into rails which run in tapered slidind dovetail slots in the underneath of the tabletop. This locks the legs in, keeps the top flat and also allows it to be relatively easily flat packed. The legs are planned octagonal so it can be made without a lathe.

Halloween themed table lamp.
I used a simpe (non LEGO) table lamp with a simple socket and a switch and surrounded it completely with LEGO.
There's a black cat, a pumpkin, a (rainbow) ghost and a vampire castle.
It's built in a modular way, so that each side panel can be easily removed and replaced by any other motif when it's not Halloween any more.
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN--This is a lovely dining table in the vintage industrial style. An accordion-type metal piece unfolds to support the metal table-top. 135cm long, 89cm wide, 74cm tall.
Edith's family (other than those on the top table!) with Edith's friends from school and university.
Built it myself. 2 sheets of plywood. Foam and vinyl from Galaxy Fabrics. Suited speed cloth from Gambler's General Store.
Photo is taken in a former coal plant. The complex was closed in 1977 and except for a few roofs, the buildings are still intact. The mine shafts are located under the adjoining hills. Inside the buildings you will still find traces of the men who worked in the mines.
The sculptural, porous form of Polyhedra Modular Coffee Tableᵀᴹ finds its inspiration in the micro world of organic bone structures as revealed by Scanning Electron Microscope images.
The complex geometry is derived from Weaire-Phelan space packing structure, and is made up of interlocking dodecahedrons and tetra-decahedrons. These have been rotated and split at an angle that creates a seemingly random pattern, yet it is made up of only five different shapes. Multiples of the five shapes are effortlessly assembled to one another using neodymium magnets. This enables users to playfully create their own randomly shaped coffee table. One could describe it as “post-rational” Lego for grown-ups.
Oh the joys of the holidays!
My role in my house thanksgiving was table decorator. I made the place cards in less than an hour. All you need is a template from Microsoft Word, a hot glue gun, and a nature walk in the front yard :)
Here is our Christmas table...
I love this Christmas Retro Table Cloth, I had to have it since it has Red Torch Ginger and Kalihi White Ginger...

Round Dining Table
4th Quarter of the 19th Century
Narra
H: 31” (78 cm)
diameter: 62” (157 cm)
Opening bid: P 160,000
Lot 98 of the Leon Gallery auction on 10 September 2016. For more information, please see www.leon-gallery.com .
Contrary to belief, the tops of round tables are not cross sections of large tree trunks, but are cut from planks. When their diameter is very large, exceeding five or more feet, they are cut from the buttresses that support giant, century-old trees. Large round dining tables with a solid top are hard to come by, especially now that most Philippine forests have been logged over.
This dining table with a top made of a single piece of narra is seldom seen. The top is edged with an S-curved ogee molding going around a fillet molding which is bordered by an inner ovolo or concave molding. The circular table top support has a narrow half-round molding running around the bottom edge.
The top rests on a pedestal leg in the shape of a turned vase-like baluster resting on a drum to which three scrolled feet are attached. The body of the vase is carved with series of lobes, a wide reel forms the neck of the vase, while a quarter-round molding forms the lip. The drum has a ring at its top and bottom and four vertical half-round moldings are appliqued equidistantly in the space between each foot.
Each scrolled foot consists of a thick piece of wood with a complicated jigsaw outline of ogee curves and cusp that are enhanced by shallow carved scrolls in the Chinese manner. The design of the foot tacitly proclaims its maker to have been a Chinese artisan.

OurDailyChallenge "Table Top Photography"
I know this is not exactly what was called for on this challenge, but I decided it was open to interpretation and I ended up here. This is the top of our coffee table which was originally painted green but has seen much of that paint worn off over the years. It dates to the late 1800s.
