This photo was taken on our January 2009 (my wife and my) vacation to Germany and Denmark. We flew from Pittsburgh to Frankfurt (via Charlotte, NC). In Frankfurt, we rent a Kia C’eed and drive across Germany to Berlin. After two days in Berlin we drove to the Baltic coast and took a ferry to Denmark, continuing on to Copenhagen. It was then to Roskilde and Silkeborg to visit friends for a few days. We departed Silkeborg and drive to Mainz and finally Frankfort before departing for home. Over 1200 miles in six days. Highlights included: driving in the autobahn (a thrill for me), the Brandenburg Gate, Check Point Charlie, the ferry, Nyhavn, and the Cologne Dom. The shots were taken with my then new Canon Rebel XT and Tamron 18-250mm.

Well worn, vintage-looking Izod table, which I don't see a sold sticker on. Price on it was listed as $5.

Magnificent Ib Kofod-Larsen Brazilian rosewood dining table for Faarup Mobelfabrik, Denmark.
Can you see a scary face in the wood grain?
These were built for the lobby at the flagship AMC Movie Theater in Kansas City's Power and Light District.
Try just slapping one of these together from nothing. I thought I could get the legs added real fast and start working on the next project. It took an along time to find the correct mounting positions for the legs and to try and have those in a good spot relative to the grain the top. Another challenge was to get everything plumb and square.
