I had quite a bunch of these lying around my kitchen and I thought they looked really interesting when stacked up together. The slight transparency of the paper looks pretty cool.
Just finished reading The Learners by Chip Kidd. Really good. I highly recommend it. It's short, entertaining, and smart. Maybe too smart, or maybe it just *seems* smart so it suckers people like me into believing it actually *is* smart. I'm still pondering it. But one aspect of it is about design and typography, which is why it features examples like the above in making its point that signifier does not equal signified. Saussure and Derrida would maybe chuckle. Maybe.
