Created for a 1st semester Typography project. I chose the quote "Listen until their brain has been twisted like a dripping towel and what they have to say is all over the floor" - Hugh Elliot, because it is so evocative and macabre. The brief was to choose a quote and convey its meaning through the typography, without images.

A patriotic advertising card for the Galt House hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio. The text on the other side of the card--Nothing Succeeds Like Success (see below)--appeared in various newspapers and magazines as early as 1881.
The Cincinnati Galt House was apparently named after the original Galt House hotel in Louisville, Kentucky.
