Usually I try to crop out people as much as I can, but here I kept the woman in the picture to show the car's odd proportions.

Where have all these brilliant little machines gone ?

I was fascinated by the films Inception & "Upside Down", so this is my attempt at creating an Inception-type city.

At least this doesn't come with annoying auto-correct!

Robots piloting bigger robots on a strange alien planet, that's the sauce!

So I started trying to build a more traditional Zoid dino but wasn't feeling it for some reason so it evolved/devolved into a more chunky toy thing. More along the lines of Starriors and Micronauts etc, real scruffy-looking. I got some more of those leg parts in blue and yellow as I want to so a couple version in different colourways, they should look cool together.

A second test photo from the roll of Svema MZ3 I shot yesterday, using the Retina Type 126 with Carl Zeiss Tessar glass. 25 seconds exposure at f16, film processed in Xtol 1:1 for 8 minutes.

Volcanos are often classified by plotting their degree of "explosiveness" (y axis) and height of the erpution column (x axis).... the largest and most dangerous eruptions have high values of both. Check over each type for examples.

Note- this example is here is purely for showing how flickr can be used to create "hotspot" learning objects.... my geology knowledge is extremely rusty!

Flickr has neutered the notes capability, but you can see the notes they refuse to show via

Note: Eventually flickr restored the notes, and it still works. I love you, flickr.

Jaguar E-Type with chromed wire wheels with knock-offs. Classic!

Seen backing into a space at a local parking lot car show. Likely to be 1967 or earlier judging from the covered headlights.

The E-Type is acknowledged by many to be one of the all-time most beautiful automotive shapes. I would agree.

Helmingham Festival of Classics and Sports Cars 2015

DFP was a minor French car brand, which was active between 1906 to 1926. DFP stands for the three founders Doriot, Flandrin and Parant. Their factory was based in Courbevoie, near Paris.

The 2-litre engine was developed by DFP. It was even used by Bentley.

I have to admit I had never heard of the brandname DFP.

The body of this DFP was designed and manufactured by Taurinya. Ghislain Mahy bought this rare car in the South of France.

1996 cc L4 petrol engine.

Performance: 12-15 bhp.

Production DFP 12/15 series: 1912-1924.

Original first reg. number: 1913.

With old French painted reg. plate (unreadable).

This temporary exhibition was set up to honour the old Ghislain Mahy, by bringing back some iconic items from his collection to the place where it all began: the Ghent Wintercircus.

Unfortunately there were only 10 vehicles on display.

Ghislain Mahy (1907-1999) was a Fiat car dealer and classic car enthusiast who rented this old Wintercircus building for over forty years. Starting in the early 1950s he built up a collection of old and classical cars from more than 950 items. He bought them mainly in France. And many of them were just saved from the hands of car scrapers.

In 1995 Mahy had to leave this special place. His collection was partly sold, the rest was divided over two museums. Restored top cars went to classic car museum Autoworld, Brussels (about 230 items). But the majority, most unrestored cars, found a new home in a new founded car museum in the south of Belgium called Mahymobiles, Leuze-en-Hainaut.

BR Brush Type 2 D5564 at March loco shed, in 1961, with D5802 behind.

D5564 had entered service in November 1959, and later became Class 31 31146, and was withdrawn in 2000, and scrapped in 2004. A few examples are still in mainline and departmental service, and many have been preserved.

March shed finally shut down in 1992, and today (2020) most of the site is occupied by a recycling centre..
