HMM...... today's macromondays' theme is "pick two", one from list 1 and one from list 2... this is one of three possibilities. my 2 favorites are this one and the candy wrapper. let the dithering begin :)

As the Snowy Egret was taking leave of Horsepen Bayou after a productive feeding session, it made a brief detour to take advantage of one last eruption of menhaden before heading out of sight.

Resembling the head of Medusa, tree roots from 2 mature cedar trees protrude in a tangled mess out of the swampy soil at Coldstream Conservation area north of London, Ontario.
