during a day trip from Tokyo I got to this beautiful place and the well known pagoda. Unfortunately the Mount Fuji was covered by clouds. But have a close look to the very light spot in clouds, there you can see a little bit of Fuji-san
Travelling along Hwy #1 from Shuswap Lake to Kamloops, takes most people about 1 hour. However, when alone, it can take me most of the day. There are many places to stop and explore along the way. This low tide moment is looking toward Pritchard Bridge. It is narrow with one lane on each side. Then expands in its bulbous middle to two lanes. (allowing vehicles to pass each other)
On this day, the smoke in the air gave the impression of fog which in turn helps create dimension. And, my angle had to be high enough to capture that most interesting, thinly layered reflection of the bridge itself. Although it was the bridge that first attracted me to this location, the textures in the foreground, became an additional source of interest.

Driving through these wide plains you can see some giant hills far away and you feel real small on front of nature.

I have traveled a lot since moving down to the US in 2000. I have visited California on the west coast and Maine on the east coast. And many places in between. One of the many fabulous places Stu and I visited was Mesa Verda in Colorado. I highly recommend this place if you want to see something spectacular!

it's a small opening i found near a cliff in Tanjong Lobang, Miri. i don't know how long is the tunnel. 'cause it was dark so i didn't dare to go in any further but managed to pluck a courage for this shot. i used a single-jpeg technique to bring out some details on the inside then applied a lil' dodging. thx for the FAVE & COMMENTS.
