At least this is how I feel sometimes. Trapped in a strange middle: too Spanish to be considered a Russian when I'm in Russia and still to Russian (and I suppose I will always be) to be considered a Spanish in Spain.
I have seen that many people on Flickr add a little "fact" about them with each photo, and I thought I could do the same. Just for fun.
#1 I don't remember when I switched, but at some point I began to think and dream in Catalan or Spanish (depending on the moment. Consequences of living in a completely bilingual region....). My mother was shoked when she knew it.
PS: The photo above was taken this summer, and it's the courtyard of the block of flats where I used to live in Moscow until the age of seven.
The trees at the background are from the playground of the school where I would probably went if we didn't move to Spain.

Out in the snow today, nosing around behind Playhouse in the Park in Mt. Adams, came upon this door. This really awesome door.

Trapped! I have eaten healthy for a week, and lost a little over 2 lbs. Here is the trapped part. I know the only way to lose the weight I need to and to maintain a healthy lifestyle is to get a proper workout. I have had a couple of half a$$ed workouts in my home gym. My problem : I don't have the energy to wake up any earlier than I do (6:15). I don't have the energy to workout after dinner and Evie goes to bed. I am highly motivated to work out on my lunch break, No time to come home and workout, and the only Gym within driving distance is small and has no shower. What a gym with no shower? Who does that? I will find the solution eventually I guess.

In this photographic series, Trapped, I am exploring the state of the human conscience in the present day. Today man has trapped his own conscience somewhere deep within. Our actions, our deeds, and our wishes as a society has no morals to speak of, no ethics to appreciate, and no qualities to look up to. Our souls are trapped inside of us. They look at us and cry at what we have become - pathetic, cruel, and utterly hopeless.
Sorry, had extreme internet problems the last days ... today it seems to be at least a little bit better - I'm hopeful. :)
Can you see the air trapped under the sheet of water falling over it...Like seltzer, the air is forced, under enormous pressure, to mix with the sea water.....that is why there is an explosion of water foam when it is released. I have understood this for years and tried to photograph it...finally it is really visible here.
I am sure there is some significance to this but I am lost on it. What it feels like to me is the feeling of older people feeling trapped, seeking solace from the divine one upstairs. Or it could just be a clever placement for street art.
