Clarke Quay Singapore used to be godowns along Singapore River where boats delivered their goods here to be stored in the 19th century. Today it has been conserved, redeveloped and transformed into a place for dining, pubs and bars which attract tourists and locals.
I won't just survive
Oh, you will see me thrive
Can't write my story
I'm beyond the archetype
I won't just conform
No matter how you shake my core
'Cause my roots, they run deep, oh
Oh, ye of so little faith
Don't doubt it, don't doubt it
Victory is in my veins
I know it, I know it
And I will not negotiate
I'll fight it, I'll fight it
I will transform
When, when the fire's at my feet again
And the vultures all start circling
They're whispering, you're out of time
But still, I rise
This is no mistake, no accident
When you think the final nail is in, think again
Don't be surprised, I will still rise

The exact same location and very slightly different composition as a previous image, this time a few hours later in the day. The first one was taken just before dawn, this one at mid morning.
It goes to show just how transformative light is when it comes to landscape photography.
Snowdrops in my front garden. This small plot was a scrubby area of grass and Dandelions until I transformed it into a proper garden a few years ago.
The first Daffodils are about to bloom soon and should give a succession right through into April ...
always a pleasure to see such vitality and colour in the garden to remind us that Life is good.
"Transformed by light "
Thank you most kindly for stopping by to view my work.
If you find you have a few words to say about what I have done they will much appreciated.
My best regards to you.... Martin

Overnight snow transformed the landscape. Seen just a couple of hours ago outside Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, Ireland. The sheep, dumb as they are, couldn't care less about the weather.

Lord & Taylor on Fifth Avenue will be closing it's doors soon. How we all loved their Christmas windows each year. Purchased by WeWork the building will be transformed to offices, but the last news we hear is--there will NOT be a 60 story office tower built above it. Series posted in honor of Veteran's Day.

In Tonopah's glory days, Victor Lambertucci operated a farm and vineyard just outside town. Using water pumped out of mines he transformed a patch of desert into a good business.

In 1878–79, the casino building was transformed and expanded to designs of Jules Dutrou (1819–1885) and Charles Garnier, the architect who had designed the Paris opera house now known as the Palais Garnier.
The American flag blowing in the wind near a window captured here reflecting and distorting in the glass of an old chalk drawing hanging on the living room wall. The soft vertical lines reflected in the glass are from vertical blinds.
It's a lazy photograph, you might say. I snapped it while sitting on the couch.

Macro Mondays
{BAM 17 of 52}
Theme: Transformation
I normally don't wear this much make-up but when I do I can honestly say I feel transformed. lol
Happy Macro Monday everyone! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
By the way my eyebrows are having a bad day lol
When winter unfurls its icy embrace, the world transforms into a wonderland of ethereal beauty. The landscape, once adorned in the lush hues of autumn, now dons a pristine white coat, as delicate snowflakes blanket the earth like nature's own embroidery. Trees stand adorned with glistening icicles, and the ground sparkles under the soft glow of moonlight. Silence descends, broken only by the crisp crunch of snow underfoot. The air is crisp and clean, carrying the invigorating scent of pine and the promise of new beginnings. Winter, a painter with a frosty palette, transforms the familiar into a realm of enchantment, where each snow-covered branch, each glistening frost-kissed surface, whispers tales of magic and quiet marvels. In this winter wonderland, nature reveals itself as a master storyteller, captivating hearts with its frozen tapestry and inviting all to revel in the breathtaking allure of the season.

My local pier, which is no longer in use, has fallen into a state of disrepair. I still see it as a thing of beauty and interest. I captured this image at sunrise yesterday and although there was little colour, due to the impending rain clouds, the Long Exposure gave some lovely movement in the sky and smoothed the water nicely. Beauty from something which at first glance, was not so beautiful.
I reckon this shot is a bit too late for the movie - Transformer. I didn't even realise this shot is in my archives... that's what happen when one has too much crap in his harddrive :P Anyway, its still better late than never! Sorry its a post & run this morning as its way past midnight here & I'm going to transform myself into a sleeping log now. Should see you shortly soon! ciao!

The Royal Arcade in London's Mayfair transforms into a magical Christmas destination with festive lights, garlands, and seasonal decorations adorning its elegant Victorian architecture, offering a charming, quieter alternative to larger markets for luxury gift shopping at boutiques and independent traders, complete with special events like historical tours for a truly enchanting festive experience
The program booklet said about this performance:
The three-part performance is about raising awareness of given structures, about recognizing and visualizing them. Then dissolving them and transforming them into something new: Along the way, encounters take place, relationships with others, being accompanied, step by step.
What I remember: a wonderful place on the Neckar island under the plane trees with a view to the Neckar front of the old town Tübingenwith the Hölderlin Tower, lots of interested, curious looks, a wonderful performance.
