WB TP&W at Chenoa, IL with TP&W 2070 a rebuilt GP38-3 in the lead. This unit was built in 1969 as Penn Central 7823. Over it's life this locomotive has seen time on the Conrail, Chicago Central and the Chicago, Missouri and Western prior to coming to TP&W. Also in the consist is TP&W 5009 a GP50 originally built for the BN as 3109 in 1980.

After the Santa Fe aquired the Toledo Peoria & Western Railroad, and its fleet of locomotives, it added dynamic braking to the GP30, and GP35's, but did not add it to the 10 GP38-2's. To this day, these 10 GP38-2's remain the only GP38's on the BNSF roster without dynamic brakes.
