Mom & Daughter help plant Town flowers. On a sunny Friday afternoon, Asst. Town Clerk Jill Swartz and her daughter Grace spend a little mother/daughter quality time as they work with Town Clerk Mary Ryman and her husband and Bristol Indiana Parks President Linda Powell to begin the planting of the town flower pots. Other members of the Friends of the Bristol Parks will be helping to finish all the preparation of the pots and the actual planting of the flowers in all the hanging pots and street-side planters along East Vistula Street. This year’s theme of red, white and blue flowers helps to celebrate the Town Hall’s 100th Birthday Party at the Town Hall on Saturday Aug. 16, 2014 - More details to come on this event. Public will be invited. The Bristol Park board is always looking for more volunteers to help with planting of the Town flowers and other projects. The Board is preparing their 5-year Park Plan and will soon be placing surveys at the town hall, library and businesses to get input from Bristol Citizens on plans for the Parks and ask for ideas on improvements. If you are interested in joining Friends of the Parks contact Linda Powell of Bristol’s Park Board for more info at bristolindiana@gmail.com

Pottery needs intense attention. I noticed that in him. I wasn't impressed with my photos after some close up shots of the potter's hands and the spinnning wheel ... so gave a try with wide angle shots.
