Special Note:
These decorations should be stored in airtight, cool, and dark location (in a resealable container in a cupboard) once you receive them if you don't intend to use them right away. Exposure to light, air, etc. will change their color and consistency. Otherwise they will last for a good long while. The fondant manufacturer information says up to a year.

On the way back to our car after a walk in the hills I saw a blue Buick parked in the equestrian parking lot. The driver was sitting inside, with the door open, and was concealed from my view by the roof supports next to the rear window. His hat, on the other hand, sitting on the roof, was too much not to take a shot of.
When I looked at the image at home, I thought it had some promise but the background was awful. A couple of days later Nancy discovered a slug of "small world" images & gave me the rundown on how to make them.
Me, occasionally not being one to let enough be enough, took the idea and ran over the top with it. So you see, this really isn't a mutant alien coming through a wormhole to steal hats from the unwary. It's just me being me.
These are scans from a friend’s collection of glass plate negatives that he has had for 30 years and were passed on from someone he knew as a lad. They show the parents of the an elderly gentleman who passed on the negatives. Taken over a hundred years ago they show history and vintage style and a way of life long gone. I hope you find them interesting!
