I want to go back in time and want my childhood days back when.

"Getting High" meant "On Swing"

"Drinking" meant "Apple Juice"

"Dad" was the only "Hero"

"Love" was "Moms hug"

my "Worst enemies" were "My own siblings"

Only thing that could get "Hurt" were "Skinned knees"

The only thing "Broken" were my "Toys"

The Seven Kingdoms come to life at Game of Thrones: The Exhibition, opened at the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver 2014.

The touring exhibit takes fans into the world of Westeros, whether it be by ascending the Wall through virtual reality, admiring the many costumes that cast members have worn, or taking a seat on the Iron Throne.

Since January, the HBO exhibition has travelled all around the world, arriving in Vancouver for its eighth and final stop.

Game of Thrones is an award-winning fantasy drama that has thrilled fans the world over with its depiction of ruthless humans and mystical creatures in a mediaeval world.

Four piece North East of England rockers Lyxx were crowned winners of the Manchester Hard Rock Rising Competition in 2012 and so their place here is well deserved. 'Over You' shows this band have the talent to take them far, but for me, it’s 'Thrust' that was the winner in their set. Vocalist/guitarist Steph Flesh throws out the some solid guitar riffs before lead guitarist Izzy Dead pulls out a mean solo. 'You’ll Get What’s Coming To You' (available on a free download) is where the pace really picks up, though, with the band settling into the groove as the Emma Venom makes the best of the in-house kit. The bands cover is the perennial Twisted Sister favourite, 'We're Not Gonna Take It' and it’s a faithful rendition which has the crowd happily singing and shouting along before Dead playing the guitar solo without a tremolo (full marks for skill). The bands final number, 'Wanna Be Me' - has a good groove to it and I’d be quite happy to travel down to Newcastle to see them play a longer show.

What a Girl Wants - And Why You're the Man to Give it to Her ift.tt/16cDRCe Relationships with women can be a bit of a mystery to the modern man. It seems that girls today say one thing and want something else. In some ways that's true. Women are constantly at war with a long history of genetic encoding where relationships are concerned and thoroughly modern ideas of what relationships should be. Somewhere in the mix, is a very mixed up girl. However, there are a few things that are almost universally wanted by women in relationships today. Do these things and she's sure to be putty in your hands. Treat Her Like a Lady This is one thing that needs to be done in both word and deed. Talk to her and in her presence in a manner that's befitting a lady. It might receive a few raised eyebrows at first, because it's so novel. After a while, however, it will really begin to shape your entire relationship -- especially when you follow up with treating her like a lady. There's nothing wrong with opening doors, leading on the dance floors, and even small acts of chivalry. It's a lost art that many women truly lament. More importantly, most women want to be treated that way, they're just afraid to speak up and ask for it. Give Her Room to Grow Just as men don't appreciate being smothered in constant togetherness; women need a little time to pursue interests of their own. Whether it's educational, spiritual, or simply time to go out and connect with the girls, your lady needs to enjoy some space from the relationship so that she can feed the person she is as well as the partner she needs to be for you. At the same time, it's healthy for you to pursue outside interests such as hobbies, weekly poker night, or even joining a bowling league if that's your thing. You will grow much better together if you're also both growing as individuals in the process. Be a Partner to Share it All Relationships are partnerships whether you're entering your first year together or your fiftieth. She needs to know that you're her partner in every aspect of the relationship. She doesn't want to feel as though you're going to run out on her when the real work gets started, dishes need to be washed, or lawns require mowing. Even if you agree on how to split the responsibilities it's important to make those decisions together, as equals. Relationships today are much simpler than many people try to make them out. Girls are complex creatures to the average man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to say it. Give her what she wants first; so that she never needs to ask for it, and she'll have a hard time even thinking about looking elsewhere for love. ift.tt/1gGbe4W What a Girl Wants - And Why You're the Man to Give it to Her ift.tt/16cDRCe

Waiting to play with one of the things that adds the most "color" to her life.

My cousin Lily Blanco was so nice to take me to the Stockyards on a “regular” day without the annual celebration of the national Cowboy.

The atmosphere is completely different but still a cool place 😎. Without so many people around and so many activities, you get to appreciate better all around, from street art murals to museums, monuments, etc.

it was a great day with my cousin, who I haven’t seen in 20+ years since we left Cuba. Btw… she is a lawyer (in case you need one 😜)

With nowhere to go, the families huddled under the bridge of the Metro Station while the Real Estate Department ordered the Public Works Deprartment to destroy the huts that the Roma families had built to protect themselves against the upcoming winter cold. On 27th October, officials from the City of Helsinki evicted a community of Romanian Roma families who had been living near the Metro Station Kalasatama.

This is the Peachtree Rock. The triangular shape makes it look sorta like a peachtree, but I think it looks more like the outline of the state of South Carolina.

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin, Germany. 19,000 square metres of 872 concrete stelae (concrete slabs) of different heights, designed by Peter Eisenman and officially opened in May 2005, fifty years after the end of the Second World War.

At some point, I had to push my knee further.

So it was on Saturday we agreed to go to Dover Castle, not too far if I became "lame".

Up at six, with it being not just light outside, but the sun rose just gone six, and it felt like it was going to be a great spring day.

I went to Tesco, we didn't need much, and with Jools only working three days next week, we have enough frozen meals for her lunches.

Tesco was pretty empty, so I rush round getting the stuff we needed, and some stuff not on the list, then back home for quarter to eight to pack away the gatherings and have breakfast of fruit. Spanish strawberries have now appeared, and some are tasty as well as juicy, so we have a big bowl of fruit and more coffee before it was time to go to the castle for when it opened.

What we didn't know was that this weekend is where folks who play the lottery or scratchcards could use an old lottery ticket to gain free entry to English Heritage or National Trust properties as a thanks for for grants from the lottery fund.

This would mean it would be crazy crowded.

This we found when we arrived at the turn off on Castle Hill to the castle, the queue of traffic leading all the way down, waiting for the ten o'clock opening.

More joined the queue behind us, this did not feel normal.

But once we were allowed in, we all took a parking slot, then walked to the entrance, we flashed our new membership cards, and walked up the slope to the Keep and the church.

St Mary in Castro looks quite modern, and inside is mostly Victorian, but there are signs it is older. In fact it is Saxon, though until the middle of the 19th century was ruinous, so was repaired as to how it now appears.

The arches and windows are clearly Saxon, though little else remains.

I took shots of the windows, arches and some fittings with the big lens, but by then others had arrived at the church, so having got my shots, we left.

And further decided to go back to the castle a less busy day, so walked down to the main area in front of the Keep and then back down to the car park, where all spaces were now full, and more cars arriving every minute.

It only takes five minutes to drive home, where it was time for a brew, and a day of relaxing ahead, with the strong possibility for me of 10 (ten) hours of sport, though in the end I bailed on the late England v France rugby match as Ireland won the Grand Slam.

At three, Norwich played Stoke, on a sunny afternoon, and romped to a fine 3-0 win, thus strengthening our claim to sixth place in the table, but a long way to go yet.

On the tellybox then was Fulham v Spurs, in which Spurs went all Spursy and lost 3-0, but it could have been worse.

Things I Know to be True, by Andrew Bovell

Things I Know to be True is a beautifully written drama centring on the lives of a family over the period of a year, poignantly presented through the seasons. It is described as a “complex and intense portrait of the mechanics of a family – and a marriage –through the eyes of four siblings struggling to define themselves beyond their parents’ love and expectations”.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Goodbye Angels

Red Hot Chili Peppers, also sometimes shortened to The Chili Peppers or abbreviated as RHCP, are an American alternative rock/funk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. The group's musical style primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on funk, as well as elements from other genres such as punk rock and psychedelic rock. When played live, their music incorporates elements of jam band due to the improvised nature of much of their performances. Currently, the band consists of founding members vocalist Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea, longtime drummer Chad Smith, and former touring guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the best-selling bands of all time with over 80 million records sold worldwide, have been nominated for sixteen Grammy Awards, of which they have won six, and are the most successful band in alternative rock radio history, currently holding the records for most number-one singles (13), most cumulative weeks at number one (85) and most top-ten songs (25) on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. In 2012, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

As I stood next to a cluster of fireweed, a most peculiar creature quietly arrived and began visiting the numerous open flowers, hovering very much like a hummingbird. At first, with butterfly-like wings that had translucent windows, the little beast seemed to be a creature of fairy tales. Soon I realized that I gazed upon a species of Sphinx Moth, a family that contains many striking and fascinating forms. Most are nocturnal. But a few, including the Hummingbird Clearwing Moth (Hemaris thysbe) that flew before me, fly about during the day. I patiently followed the frantically flapping animal with my lens, trying to capture shots in the evening sunlight. A frustrating task, for the moth cleverly tended to stay in the shaded areas, only rarely venturing into the full sun. I had to be quick with the shutter actuator to capture the beast in vivid light. Indeed, this shot is in partial shade, when along the edge of a shadow from a nearby tree branch, with a hint of sunshine.

This animal is said to fly and drink nectar in a manner similar to a hummingbird, while also mimicking bumble bees, and indeed the sphinx moth appeared like a little hummer. Interestingly, as I snapped shots of the moth, an actual hummingbird arrived at the scene, also quite interested in the fireweed flowers. I captured a few frames of the bird, too.
