Opening times. Honest.

(183/365)

Times Square isn't how I imagined, because it's not a square - merely a slightly unusual road junction that creates a small open space. I suppose it could be compared to Piccadilly Circus.

I tried to take a wide angle photo that showed the true nature of the place rather than just a glitzy image of the neon adverts that I've seen so often, hopefully I've achieved that.

Here, a crusader prepares to toss a rock at a T-Rex, o-boy thats gona leave a mark..

I got a little bored of my old blog site banner so I decided to create one with more impact. Initially I wanted a demons or devils face but I couldn't find a decent one to match, so someone suggested a skull which works (although it resembles more of an 80's heavy metal album cover)

If you're a tourist in New York City and you want to find other tourists, then Times Square is the best place to go. You'll find a wealth of variety, with many different types of people with many different types of languages milling around, examining the place. What you won't find are too many New Yorkers, as Times Square is almost always overcrowded with tourists to the point where it is difficult to move at all.

times square, just after midnight on saturday

Times Square, the most bustling square of New York is known for its many Broadway , cinemas and electronic billboards. It is one of those places that make New York a city that never sleeps.

On Sunday 12 April we took another long walk, this time round the North Edinburgh paths, along the front past Newhaven and eventually up Constitution Street. These photographs document points of interest.
