Christmas is less than a fortnight away and nature here in Ostwestfalen is like early Spring. We used Sunday afternoon for an extended hiking tour around home waters of the river Werre in the Löhne area.

“Time Forgotten” By Brian Crain
A shot from two nights ago. I was really looking for a silhouette of some geese flying in front of the setting sun but that didn't quite work.

They are ducks in this pond sometimes...but not today...only the light and the reflections in the water and on the adjacent wall. A beautiful sight ;-)
A small church cemetery in Maentwrog, Wales. I've always enjoying walking through cemeteries and wondering about the peoples lives and passages on this earth.

I have no idea what they make at this place, but my thought was some up-sized moonshine distillery, or a meth lab. I think this was someplace between Raton and Las Vegas, New Mexico. For sure I-25 and northern New Mexico. I've kept a journal since 2009 with date, odometer, and nearest town. So for a picture like this that was taken in 2012, by the date & time of day it was taken, I can usually figure out roughly where I took the picture.
Every girls should have time for glamour.

……There was a time when the last thing a man would do before leaving home was to check his timepiece and put it in his waistcoat pocket! Certainly every Railway man!! Hence the term ‘Railway Grade’ on these beautiful timepieces. Though it is not so often worn by me these days it most certainly gets its affectionate wind up each morning when I get up. He had this piece mounted on the wall in a guest room along with a grandfather clock. A noisy guest room!

This stone cottage was originally an assistant lighthouse keeper's home. Geometry is the key to my composition, and by now I am sure I see unconsciously every scene with a grid.
The luminous and ingenious clock, from the depths of time it's a wicked invention that has trapped us all!
Time
Time slides with a sickening lurch
And I stop here, wondering
What will come around the corner
To meet me as I know

Around the bend
For me, this stretch of road between Wilmington and Litlington in East Sussex, UK, is an area where time is fluid. Sometimes I can feel it move.

That's what one would think by looking at these two photos. In reality the photo on the left was taken at 1:35 PM and the one on the right was taken at 4:34 PM - for three hours nothing, absolutely nothing, changed in owl's posture; only things that changed were my position on the ground and the position of the sun in the sky. Two days earlier a Red morphed Screech Owl was seen together with this Gray morphed one in the same hole - a very unique scene. On this day the red was a no-show and this one didn't even open its eyes to take a glimpse of the misery of the hapless bird watchers. Yes, that's how it goes most of the time. Burlington, Ontario.
