The luminous and ingenious clock, from the depths of time it's a wicked invention that has trapped us all!
Time
Time slides with a sickening lurch
And I stop here, wondering
What will come around the corner
To meet me as I know
I really want to run
But I take the photo
And maybe someone will find it
Easy, as it's numbered
Double one, double one
Or will I return to this spot
In another time
And meet myself
Around the bend
For me, this stretch of road between Wilmington and Litlington in East Sussex, UK, is an area where time is fluid. Sometimes I can feel it move.

That's what one would think by looking at these two photos. In reality the photo on the left was taken at 1:35 PM and the one on the right was taken at 4:34 PM - for three hours nothing, absolutely nothing, changed in owl's posture; only things that changed were my position on the ground and the position of the sun in the sky. Two days earlier a Red morphed Screech Owl was seen together with this Gray morphed one in the same hole - a very unique scene. On this day the red was a no-show and this one didn't even open its eyes to take a glimpse of the misery of the hapless bird watchers. Yes, that's how it goes most of the time. Burlington, Ontario.

A Sunny 1st of October - we decided to go one more time to the North Sea coast to visit the gulls again before winter comes. They wear their winter plumage now, the chicks are grown up, wind becomes cold and the light changed somehow.
Every day I've been observing the changes in our sunflower plants. It is beyond grand to study the development of each flower.
I came across this link with a time lapse titled Growing Sunflowers, Seed to Flower in 83 Days. Enjoy!

Who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time
And who can say if your love grows
As your heart chose, only time
Who can say why your heart sighs
As your love flies, only time
And who can say why your heart cries
When your love lies, only time
Who can say when the roads meet
That love might be in your heart
And who can say when the day sleeps
If the night keeps all your heart
Night keeps all your heart
Who can say if your love grows
As your heart chose
- Only time
And who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time
Who knows? Only time

The Copper Basin Magma Turn wrapping through the desert outside of Florence as they make their way towards from Hayden, AZ. Thanks to great help from a local railfan who gave the tip off on the run & nailed the time on when they’d hit Florence. As I pulled up I heard these guys working hard through the desert and had to make a running dash up the mountain. Made it up to the spot for the shot as they began to take the bend around the sweeping curve. Talk about timing! Felt like I was dying after, but the shot was worth it!
This tiny 7" x 7" or 178mm x178mm motherboard has done well but time to redo the insides and see what the second life will have.

So you got a little heartbreak
Feeling like a dumb chump
Laying in left field
Can't believe you got dumped
Everything gone wrong
But you're listening to the right song
Grab yourself a cheap seat
Floating or flying
Anything southbound
Heading to the islands
Grab a little white sand
Maybe get your blues tanned
Riptides rippin'
The sunset's dippin'
You smile that smile
Keep on sippin'
Time flies
Sitting in the sun
When you're feeling numb
Time flies
When you're having rum
Yeah, you find a little beach bar
Down on the water
Sail away the Captain
Feeling Jolly Roger
Talking to a cutie
Heading for the booty
Riptides rippin'
The sunset's dippin'
You smile that smile
You'll be saying
Time flies
Sitting in the sun
Yeah, when you're getting some
Time flies
When you're having rum
Yeah
Riptides rippin'
The sunset's dippin'
You smile that smile
You'll be saying
Time flies
Yeah, when your in the sun
Yeah, when you're feeling numb
Time flies
Shot taken for Saturday Self Challenge 17/12/2022 -----------
Quiet Time
Well , for the second week the challenge has been a real challenge , so I hope this shot will fit the bill !!
Our tiny garden has been a boon through the pandemic as it is geared for any visiting wildlife and so much time has been spent there quietly watching for any visitations to capture with the camera as well as just having a feet up watching any of the birdlife flying about and also the many planes and helicopters that regularly fly over - be it the jets gaining height out from Heathrow or just the light aircraft that generally fly about this way and that !!
So the garden has been a splendid spot for some quiet time for ages now . Having said that , at this time though , this is a quiet time for the garden itself , hardly anything is going on other than a few pink flowers on the heather . We can see also the King & Queen stone statues are tucked up under their covers and the greenhouse beyond the trellis is all closed up to protect the few hardy cacti I have in there .
