Further documentation of my home.
We bought these carpet/utility tiles at Canadian tire because they were the only thing in the store. We never thought they'd work as well as they do. They don't seem to sell them anymore. The varied browns are just the right colour to hide any dirt that gets tracked in from outside. A good random purchase.
More of the kitchen nook being tiled - it took just a couple days longer than estimated because a box of tiles were broken. But the delay was nothing compared to my in-laws, who are still waiting on the finish of their bathroom tile job, which was started in, I believe, AUGUST!
Wall tile finely printed with an Aesthetic design. A central portrait of a Renaissance youth, to the left a plant pot with sunflower, to the right daffodils.

These tiles were on exhibit in the Karatay Medresesi. I found them interesting because they showed figures of people and animals. When I asked why these were here, the comment was that these were likely from a palace location, rather than a mosque.
My brother gave me some floor tiles left over from a job. This design comes from a book, Handpainted Tiles. (2008)
On 1st Avenue in Seattle. Photo taken with Hipstamatic: Hornbecker lens, Blanko film. Light totally blew out the tiling in front, dammit.
Finally, the bathroom is all tiled, now we'll just have to get the grouting done and we'll be done with that part.
Traditional tiles at a shop at the bazaar. Very friendly and nice shop owner. We bought a number home.
There was some restoration work going on and these tiles were numbered in order so that they could be placed back in order.

I was browsing the electronics at a local Best Buy and came across the Tile Mate Bluetooth location tracker. What an ingenious device. I can locate anything now by attaching a Tile to it and running the app on one of my devices.
I’ve attached one to Paddington Bear so if he gets lost again on any of his travels, I can locate him and he won’t have to wind up in a dirty London train station…. again.
Must find a way to use this technology to locate the waistline I had back in college. It has been lost for quite a while.
