The Bentley Tileries was a relatively late development, being established close to the main line railway at Longbridge Hayes in the 1930s. In 1937 the OS map shows this as the "New Brick Works".The works produced red floor quarries, pavers, tiles / garden & creasing tiles, air bricks, roof tiles. It was closed and the site cleared by 1968.

Bisazza glass mosaic tiles have been put together and designed to create a unique and elegant stairway. This design project, entitled 'Alfabeto Negativo' features luxurious mosaic tiles combined to fashion phrases for a chic mosaic hallway.

Taken, I believe, at a car wash at a BP petrol station in Montrose, Victoria Australia. Taken on 16 March 2014, taken using an Agfa Futura Autofocus 2 camera.

16" travertine floor tile with 4" deco set with hopscotch pattern. Shower walls 12" travertine set with offset pattern. Inset niche 2"x2" gold travertine mosaic.

While rambling in Cascais I cam across this beautiful tiled house. In a narrow street it was not possible to get a good frontal shot but you can see the charm of the building even from this angle!

We're down on the Central Coast for a few days, and while strolling down the streets of San Luis Obispo I found so many abstract images, but this one of the tiled wall was my favorite. I would love to have that tile in my home !

 

We're touring Hearst Castle today, and I'm sure I'll find many photo ops there.

My latest buy to help with cutting up tiles. l saw this advertised for just $50 at the local Aldi store. l thought it would save me time and effort from cutting with the manual tile cutter. Just plug in and off you go.
