The MLS Executive Board met at the new Library/Learning Resource Center at Greenfield Community College. Deborah Chown, Director and Eric Poulin, Coordinator of Library Services (and MLS Executive Board) led a tour after the meeting. The new space has a wide open feel with an atrium type public area and many large windows.
This 1952 Chevy Styleline Sedan is a one owner car that had been sitting for over 40 years & not driven when brought to us. We started by getting the mechanical systems checked out, power brake and steering upgrades were installed and the motor was tuned. The body was stripped and coated with House Of Kolor Epoxy Primer so rust repair and body work could be started. A replacement interior kit will be made and installed. The body will be refinished with De Beer Base Clear in the original green color. Overall this was a nice survivor, with little rust or body damage and will turn out great.

A few years ago I made two Amoeba puzzles by laser-cutting maker Nervous System, and was blown away by the difficulty. While the puzzles only had about 70 pieces, they took more than 2 hours each - and I was trying my hardest - putting them near the top difficulty of any puzzles I've done.
Here is the next level. The challenge puzzle consists of 342 pieces, with no printed image. You can also not tell which side is up or down. The only hint you have is the grain of the wood, and at least in my copy the wood has little markings. The purple pieces on the right consist of a 74-piece Amoeba puzzle, and they are stained on both back and front, making it impossible to tell which way is "up." (The other Amoeba puzzles had printed features on one side only.)
Part 1 of the challenge is making the Amoeba puzzle. Part 2 is making a larger puzzle, including all 342 pieces, in which the purple pieces all fit, but never link up with each other. The shape is rectangular but with no straight edge.

As usual, some very bad photos from the concert of the System of a Down, the 2nd of June 2011. I wasn't in a good position, I'm more shorter then other people in front of me and especially I'm not a photographer (and my Multiple Sclerosis allow me to walk and stand up for concerts, but not keep my arms all over others heads without shaking :D) But I can say that I'm really satisfied, because of seeing them Live and because some photos are not so bad.
Yep, I know, there are a lot of hands, but as I've said...I'm short :P
