Privacy and social distancing are not words that appear in the damselfly dictionary...

there is so many of them, perfect copies of each other ... :)

One chick has not yet hatched. In the nest is still one egg

The others are freshly hatched from the egg. I have seen four down chicks.

The hatching of the chicks is not synchronous, but usually with an interval of one day. The chicks are nest fledglers and can immediately swim by themselves and dive after six weeks. During the first two to ten weeks, however, they are carried mainly by the adults on their backs hidden in their plumage

I would like to thank all, that you have taken the time to view and comment on my photos, it is very much appreciated.

synchronously in the wind....

Come here

No I won't say please

One more look at the ghost

Before I'm gonna make it leave

Come here

I've got the pieces here

Time to gather up the splinters

Build a casket for my tears

I'm haunted

(By the lives that I have loved)

I'm haunted

(By the promises I've made)

I'm haunted

By the hallways in this tiny room

The echos there of me and you

The voices that are carrying this tune

Great in-sync Monday to all!

Synchrones Nektarschlürfen / Synchronous nectar sipping

Male Red-crested Pochards (Netta rufina) molt in large groups at Ismaning water reservoir near Munich which is one of the largest European molting sites. During their synchronous molting phase all ducks lose their ability to fly. To survive this vulnerable period they gather in dense flocks. This gathering in large numbers of birds offers collective protection against predators.

A pair of Sarus Crane (Antigone antigone) was calling delightfully during a morning session in their natural habitat. The lateral angle of the male display was too perfect to miss out here. Lovely erected portion of the wings and a sweet head angle with open beaks calling are the fantasy of any bird lovers. Interesting fact is that when male calls the female joins immediately in a synchronous calling. Pics was taken from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, India.

We don't speak the same language. Plenty of times we misunderstand each other. But one thing has been perfectly clear to both of us from the start: We're better off together.

In the flow of daily life, each of us is slowly softening toward the other and opening up to more compromise.

I have to dig deep to find the amount of patience required for my traumatized companion. I can't just be a responder. I have to be an active agent for good.

When the dissonant melodies of her past catch up with Tidda and lower her tail and her head, I have to be the one to initiate a key change and sing the sunshine back into her heart. I've never been very good at that. I've always wanted others to bring sunshine into my own darkness. But it's one of those eerie synchronous things that for the past year I've been studying the wisdom of the mystics and I may just be starting to understand that light is the essence of everything and it is our job to let it shine outwards. I've discovered that when I'm in this spirit of mind, a tone of happy confidence from me can have an amazing effect on Tidda and can even release her from an apprehensive freeze on the street.

We both have our issues, but we're better together.

Flamingos are very social animals. Both males and females in groups perform synchronized ritual displays for avoiding predators, maximizing food intake, and "synchronous nesting."

Black Skimmer flock in flight.

Because flocks of skimmers often fly synchronously, their appearance as a flock can be quite different. Here they appear as a flock of mostly black birds, In the comments you'll see their appearance as a flock of white birds. Because they have such a thin profile, when the flock comes straight at you, its hard to tell there is a flock of birds at all - that's stealth.

This photo was quite a challenge as the sun had just risen, it was overcast and there was very little light.

Explored.

My first outing to Terrell's Island Preserve this spring, after being closed for the winter, proved a bit challenging. The day was overcast with a few showers and winds approaching 30 mph. Thankfully, the sun broke through the clouds on occasion and despite the wind the pelicans were in great form flying synchronously in groups as they do. They put on quite a show. I could barely hold my camera steady in the wind but managed some decent shots.

The three ibis were so synchronous in their flight that I could have well copy pasted two of them.

Thank you, dear friends, for visits, faves and comments!

Sandhill cranes partner for life and a very family oriented birds species. The understanding between a mated pair is exemplary, as seen here from the flying pattern.

"The May Full Moon is known as Flower Moon to signify the flowers that bloom during this month. Other names for the Full Moon in May are Corn Planting Moon, and Milk Moon from Old English/Anglo-Saxon."

"The Moon (or Luna) is the Earth’s only natural satellite and was formed 4.6 billion years ago around some 30–50 million years after the formation of the solar system. The Moon is in synchronous rotation with Earth meaning the same side is always facing the Earth. The first unmanned mission to the Moon was in 1959 by the Soviet Lunar Program with the first manned landing being Apollo 11 in 1969."

Together is better....

Two Greenshanks are captured in a moment of perfect synchrony through the Dollard’s shallow waters in the Dutch Wadden Sea.

This is a subarctic bird, breeding from northern Scotland eastwards across northern Europe and east across the Palearctic. It is a migratory species, wintering in Africa, the Indian subcontinent, and Australasia, usually on fresh water. It breeds on dry ground near marshy areas, laying about four eggs in a ground scrape..

A small group of Lesser Flamingo (Phoenicoparrus minor) was foraging in a muddy salty wetland with synchronous movements. Most delightful fact was that their every moves were reflected on the thin water layer in front. I love the network of long pink legs and necks staggered in between the water layers. I tried my best to frame their activities at the eye level. Pics was taken from a village in Little Rann of Kutch, Gujrat, India.

Evening of May 21 2024 Many people who live in Kurzeme went to watch the heaviest cargo in the history of the Port of Liepāja. It was 384-tonne synchronous compensator and its transport that arrived at Grobiņa parish.

On Wednesday, May 22, the equipment- was placed in the power station built there to be switched on after tests in February next year, when all three Baltic States will simultaneously disconnect from the BRELL power grid.

A special vehicle from Estonia was hired to take the heavy cargo from the port of Liepāja to Grobiņa. The truck has 22 axles, each with eight wheels, which helped to even out the weight.

As the vehicle was almost 45 meters long, it was escorted by the police, temporarily blocking traffic for other drivers. This event attracted many visitors, some of them even arrived with chairs.

QuickPort was established in 2003 in Tallinn, Estonia as a ship agency. Main activities: Abnormal cargo transportation with weight up to 1200 tons, yachts, modular homes, machinery, steel and concrete construction, ship equipment

It's a hard pull through Culver, MN, where a stiff southbound grade and several curves have provided resistance to an Illinois transplant emanating the distinctive music from a choir of sixteen cylinders, 645 cubes apiece, singing in synchronous rhythm, the song of the Minnesota leg of the iron supply chain. Millions more marble-sized Minntac pellets of steaming taconite are headed towards Proctor where the winter suspension of the shipping season will force them into stockpiles. When warmer temperatures arrive in March, the pellets will be shipped across the Great Lakes to an eastern mill and transformed into another batch of USS product.
