We don't go into the stores to shop we only shop online and do roadside pickups. This is a nice little treat they give us for doing so.

So, you have a sweet tooth or want Halloween candy? This is one of the many creative displays at Oakwood Creek in Julian, California. The owner, and creator of all of these displays, was kind enough to let me come in to take pictures on a day when the store was closed to the public.
Lighting stuff: Lit with a YN560-III in an 8.6 inch Lastolite softbox in front of the display, and a bare YN560 bounced off of the ceiling in front of the candy. The strobes, in manual mode were triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.

when I am up to my elbows in work and under a lot of pressure because lots of things need to be done - what do I do? I bake. yes, I know it does not make any sense but that is what I do. maybe it is the wonderful smell throughout the house or the extra sugar that gives me the energy to finish whatever else I have to do. I don't know really but it does work. have you ever tried it? or what do you do when you are drowning in work?
Look at the light from my door, it looks like heaven just opened their door to welcome these macaroons and I love the 2nd picture below..the flare looks like a rainbow.
Dylan and Bluebelle love cupcakes and tea time. Why not combining both?

After a dinner out the other night, we wandered past a place I can never resist…
Shane Confectionary is a Philadelphia landmark— established in 1863, it is the oldest continuously operated candy shop in America. Its interior has been restored and is a step back in time with its pressed tin ceiling, finials and fancy moldings, marble countertops and candy-shop antiques like the cash register, brass scales, and apothecary jars, as well as its old-fashioned chocolates and candies.
Of course, I couldn’t leave empty handed, so I bought a small bag of my favorite milk chocolate “Wilbur Buds”…
More history: Wilbur Chocolate was founded in Philadelphia in 1865 by Henry Oscar Wilbur and Samuel Croft. The company developed a technique for depositing its specially blended chocolate into a teardrop mould that resembled a flower bud, and in 1893 introduced what became its most popular candy, the Wilbur Bud. (Hershey’s Kisses which closely resemble Wilbur Buds debuted in 1907. They may have become more famous, but they’re not nearly as good!)

This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera and KOWA 1:3.5/55mm lens with a Zenza Bronica 67mm SY44•2C(Y1) filter using Kodak 400TX film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.
Amelia picked out, and then devoured, a triple-chocolate cupcake from Frankenmuth's Sugar High Bakery

I have to say I have the biggest sweet tooth out, I have many favourites but on the top of my sweets list is Ferrero Rocher…just love the many layers and the gem is when you get to the centre and there is that hazelnut wrapped in soft centre chocolate…mmmm yum!

What a team effort! Peter took the design Norman, Jorge and myself worked on and gave it a facelift with these amazing prints!
