The Kings Mill Reservoir site covers 31.8ha including a lake, marshy reedbed, woodland, grassland and has the River Maun running through it. The Reservoir has been designated as a Local Nature Reserve.
sutton lawn reserve..... The park is mainly comprised of grassed areas with areas of woodland and avenues of trees. The lake is located in the south east of the park, and is well used by anglers and walkers. Rumbles café is located to the west of the site and is located close to the play areas, a skate park, ball court and outdoor gym. The site also has bowling and tennis clubs.
The Lawn Pleasure Grounds encompass the grounds of the former Sutton Hall, built as the residence of Samuel Unwin, a merchant hosier, and the land associated with his nearby Cotton Spinning Mill and Mill Lake. Sutton Hall and most of the Mill complex no longer exist, but the Mill ruins and adjacent lake form the focal feature of the park today.

sutton lawn reserve.....The Lawn is Sutton’s main park providing play areas, gym equipment, skate park, a fishing lake, outdoor sports pitches as well as plenty of outdoor space for residents to enjoy. Recent works have included the installation of a wheelchair accessible roundabout in the play area and the construction of a new footpath to provide a new pedestrian link between the lake and the upper parts of the park.

It's a Kassbohrer Setra S215 HD Tornado C49FT that was new in May 1994 to Travellers Coaches (Brelaton) of Hounslow as K396 STL and later operated with several different coach company's including Cavalier Tours of Hounslow, SunFun Coach Travel of Earith and Whites Coaches of Sutton-in-Ashfield.
It is seen here parked up in the coach park off Market Road, Battle, East Sussex.

A surprise find in the Ashfield area, was this Nottingham Scania which has been sent up on loan due to a vehicle shortage. A recent addition to the bus is the LED display.
668 stands at Marshall Terrace in Stanton Hill unusually with a 141 to Nottingham via Mansfield, Blidworth and Hucknall, complete with a working blind, something Trent don't normally achieve on loaned vehicles!!

On 23-07-13 my house on Stuart St Sutton in Ashfield was stuck by lightening at 05:45 in the morning. In this view we see Ashfield Fire Engines attending the incident, The strike took out most of the electrical items in the house including my computer, central heating, TV's etc. On the 14-08-13 Broadband was repaired.

This was taken from my rear balcony last night about 10pm. I tried to get the planet Venus but it was obscured by the dark cloud above the roof to the left. The cloud formation just refused to move on.

I know there are numerous vape shops popping up all over the place, but to see one on the site of a former petrol station seems somewhat unusual.
Formerly this was a Shell petrol station, this was still trading in May 2011, appearing to have been a vape shop for sometime by 2015
