An image taken quite a while ago during a sunrise visit to Susan Gilmore Beach, NSW; Australia.
A great spot at low tide, as the rockshelf is easily accessed and relatively safe ( but very slippery!!) - this little area has lovely backwash movement don't you think?!!

Rain-soaked Black-eyed Susan during the rain.

Susan thought the plum tree outside her side door had died. Lo and behold! It is laden with fruit this summer. She offered anyone who was interested to come pick some. The fruit is on a rustic, hand thrown stoneware dinner plate that I received 40 years ago as a wedding present. August 5, 2021

Our beautiful magnolia was bought for us as a housewarming present by my sister, Sue not realising that this variety of magnolia is called Susan. It started as a small shrub and is now 7ft tall. I’ve used a little AI asking it to make it ‘reach for the sky’. This is the result. And the sky really was that blue!!!
Soulis: Withered Black-eyed Susans. Photo manipulation. I found them at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida. They were actually considerably more yellow and bright. I decided to add, among other things, some wrinkles and discoloration. After all, it is supposed to be a photo manipulation. Thank you!

Rudbeckia hirta, commonly called black-eyed Susan, is a North American flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to Eastern and Central North America and naturalized in the Western part of the continent as well as in China. It has now been found in all 10 Canadian Provinces and all 48 of the states in the contiguous United States
Things really went out of my usual comfort zone on our last shoot, but it was well worth it!
I wanted to capture Susan's cybergoth style with a mixture of light painting and portraiture which would give a neon lighting feel to the image.

There's a large patch of black-eye susans growing along the path to the flower shed at Wright-Locke Farm.
The base of the falls empty into a pool, and then form Susan Creek, which flows into the North Umpqua River.
this is my mom (in the back of the boat, running the motor) and my aunts Ann (center) and Susan (front), sitting in a little motorboat on Lake Champlain, in a town called Cedart Beach, Vermont, where they spent their summers growing up -- pretty sure this was taken in summer 1958
it's one of my favorite family photos, and so took it out of it's frame today & scanned it...

I captured this black-eyed susan at Buddy Attick Park in Greenbelt, Maryland. It was in a plot of flowers of different types. I singled this one out using a shallow depth of field and allowed the surrounding flowers to become an interesting bokeh field surrounding it.
The black-eyed susan is the state flower for Maryland.
