The Susan E. bathing in the morning sunlight. I love the mornings when the fog starts burning off and the sunlight makes it's way through the mist. The combination of fog and sun makes for some interesting lighting.

Rudbeckia triloba, the browneyed or brown-eyed susan, thin-leaved coneflower or three-leaved coneflower, is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae with numerous, yellow, daisy-like flowers. It is native to the central and eastern United States and is often seen in old fields or along roads.
I took this in an area that until last year was cropland but was purchased by the privately-owned Newton (Iowa) Botanical Garden and Arboretum and is being restored to tallgrass prairie.

Susan thought the plum tree outside her side door had died. Lo and behold! It is laden with fruit this summer. She offered anyone who was interested to come pick some. The fruit is on a rustic, hand thrown stoneware dinner plate that I received 40 years ago as a wedding present. August 5, 2021
Our beautiful magnolia was bought for us as a housewarming present by my sister, Sue not realising that this variety of magnolia is called Susan. It started as a small shrub and is now 7ft tall. I’ve used a little AI asking it to make it ‘reach for the sky’. This is the result. And the sky really was that blue!!!
