The rotating wafer support maintains flatness and position of 4", 6", 8", 10", 12", and 13.625" diameter wafers in order to achieve contamination-free contact angle readings while preserving flatness. Each wafer support is hand lapped to a high-tolerance. The support incorporates a rotating stage plate which is graduated in 1° increments with displacement holes for creating the appropriate suction. The wafer support mounts directly to the leveling stage of the Contact Angle Goniometer. Model 400 supports and includes an 8" wafer support (and other sizes can be added). Models 190, 200, 250, and 290 support the 4" wafer support only. Larger supports may require an upgrade kit which will extend the focal length of the camera and extend the microsyringe fixture. We offer kits which include all of the necessary parts.

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, or ESGR, held a Boss Lift event at Fort Indiantown Gap on May 8-9. The Boss Lift program provides opportunities for employers to learn the benefits and challenges involved with employing National Guard and reserve members. Participants toured several training areas and witnessed demonstrations and exercises such as the Pre-mobilization Training Assistance Element, A-10 Warthog target firing, and an EC-130J air drop. Attendees also got some hands-on experience in vehicle and flight simulators. ESGR’s Boss Lift highlights the value and skills military personnel bring to their civilian jobs and expresses gratitude to employers for their continued support of the military and National Guard and reserve members in the work force.

Demonstration in support of Gaza in Toronto, march from Queens Park to the US consulate © Linda Dawn Hammond / IndyFoto.com July 26, 2014. Children wrote the names of every child in Gaza killed in this recent conflict by Israel on balloons, pink for girls and blue for boys, and then released them in honour and memory into the sky. Some kids were reluctant to let the balloons go, and men with scissors intervened to cut the strings! As of July 23, "2014 UNICEF’s communications chief in Jerusalem, Catherine Weibel, says that according to U.N.’s figures at least 121 Palestinian children under the age of 18 have been killed since the conflict started on July 8, making up a full one-third of Palestinian civilian casualties. Between July 20 to July 21 alone, she says, “there were at least 28 children killed in Gaza.” time.com/3012088/child-death-toll-gaza/
International Day of Al-Quds - Several thousand supporters of Palestinians (estimates range from 5,000- 10,000), with a small counter demonstration of a few hundred supporters of Zionist Israel.
From the Toronto Star:
The high proportion of young deaths is mirrored by the densely packed population of the 360-square-kilometre swath of land tucked into the southwestern Coast of Israel. More than 40 per cent of Gaza’s population is under 15 years old, and the median age of its 1.8 million inhabitants is just over 18 – compare that to Canada’s median age of just under 42.

The Head of the United Nations and the Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, Ellen Margrethe Løj, has reiterated the organisationâs commitment to support South Sudan through challenging times ahead. Presiding over events to mark the United Nations Day in Juba, the SRSG reminded the government and the citizens that the peace agreement, which was signed in August 2015, remains the most credible vehicle to revive the peace process.
Marking the 71st Anniversary of the achievements of the UN family in South Sudan, different UN agencies showcased some of their works. Through exhibitions, posters and some also distributed information packs while other conducted immunization and diagnostic malaria tests.
The minister of Federal Affairs, Richard Mulla who attended the event, asked the United Nations to continue helping the government in the implementation of the peace agreement, despite challenges being faced by the government in the peace process.
Mullah applauded the UN family for its contributions towards humanitarian assistance, food security, capacity building and gender empowerment.

If you've ever used a backdrop before, whether it's for Solid Color or Decorative pattern, paper or cloth background materials, you know that the versatility, adjustability, and strength of the support system hardware makes all the difference in setting up your studio to get the shot just right.
The background support system used in the photo above will allow you to precisely adjust the width of the Crossbar between the Stands so that you can attach clamps from the Stand to the Background Material. This minimizes floor space and is especially critical when using cloth backgrounds that require stretching to create a smooth surface. Having the ability to adjust the height of the support is also essential. Another handy feature of a background support system is the ability to mount more that one backdrop.
A background support system that has these kind of features can be purchased from Eos Lighting LLC

well, mostly finished. could use a bit more cleaning. That and a plastruder jam caused the top (top = towards the top of the picture) not to finish printing. Aside from that, it's finished!

National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from the D.C.-based 33rd Civil Support Team and the Fort Pickett-based 34th Civil Support Team trained together April 7, 2015, at the Fairfax County Urban Search and Rescue Training Site, Lorton, Va. The two-day exercise brought together the two teams as well as firefighters from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. Both units can identify chemical, biological, and radiological substances, assess current and projected consequences, advise an incident commander on response measures, and assist with requests for additional state support. The CSTs are federally resourced, trained and sustained and operates under the control of state leadership. The Adjutant General of each state or territory may employ the CST to support the state response under the direction of the governor or to support another state’s response under a supported governor. Lt. Col. Peter J. Koch, AFSBn-Bagram, 401st Army Field Support Brigade commander, was awarded a Bronze Star Medal by Brig. Gen. Kristin K. French, Joint Sustainment Command-Afghanistan commanding general, in an awards ceremony held at brigade headquarters Dec. 6. He also received the Afghanistan Campaign Medal and the NATO Medal.
About the 401st:
The 401st Army field Support Brigade provides Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines, the tools and resources necessary to complete the mission. If they shoot, drive it, fly it, wear it, eat it or communicate with it, the 401st helps provide it. The brigade assists coalition partners with many of their logistical and sustainment needs. The brigade also handles the responsible disposition of equipment in Afghanistan to support evolving missions. We are the single link between Warfighters in the field, and working through Army Sustainment Command, we leverage Army Materiel Command’s worldwide Materiel Enterprise to develop, deliver, and sustain materiel to ensure a dominant joint force for the U.S. and our Allies.
