Members of the local community of King Robert Farm, a suburb of Monrovia in Liberia, are listening to a team of psychosocial workers of Action Contre la Faim (ACF) during an emotional debrief.

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa produces an increasing number of affected people beyond those infected and dead.

Survivors, families, children, and health workers are dealing with the stress and trauma left behind by the disease. Psychosocial support is an approach that helps victims of Ebola to cope with stress and fosters resilience in communities and affected individuals.

Twice a week a team of four psychosocial workers and a supervisor visit King Robert Farm to meet the only survivor and affected families in this village.

UNMEER has provided 9 cars to ACF to help it reach communities for contact tracing and psychosocial work.

1/76 scale diecast models of Mercedes Sprinter, long wheelbase high roof vans, depicting Transport Scotland and the Trunk Roads Incident Support Service (TRISS) operated by BEAR.

I had wanted to depict TRISS in model form, but couldn’t find any decals/transfers. However a seller on eBay, whom I had bought from previously, is open to suggestions. Imagine my surprise to be told within 24 hours that the decal set was ready for sale. 3 days later and I was applying them. I also bought a set of Vinyl decals of Variable Message Signs, commonly seen at the side of motorways, but importantly - fitted to the roof of TRISS vehicles.

I have modelled one van with its Variable Message board fully extended. The second van is depicted mid way through extending the board.

If I can find cheap donor models of the Oxford Diecast BTP Camera van, I may add extendable CCTV poles to these models in future.

In Rome, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Italian President Sergio Mattarella.

The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude for Italy’s steadfast support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its consistent focus on Ukraine during Italy’s presidency of the G7.

"I recall all our meetings, and they always concluded with us finding solutions to very complex issues. One of the most challenging is protecting the rights of people in Ukraine, as well as defending our sovereignty and territorial integrity. I am very pleased that your position in supporting Ukraine, our people, and our children has always remained unwavering," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian President provided an update on the situation at the front lines and on Russia’s ongoing missile terror targeting civilians.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his appreciation to Italy for its significant military-technical support, including the approval of the 10th aid package.

He emphasized the importance of coordinated actions by partner countries to end the war with a just and lasting peace.

The President of Ukraine also commended Italy’s firm stance on maintaining and enforcing sanctions against Russia.

A key topic of negotiations was the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

The President thanked Italy for its care and support of Ukrainian orphans currently residing in Italy because of the Russian aggression.

The leaders also discussed preparations for the International Ukraine Recovery Conference, scheduled for July 10–11 in Rome. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Italian experts could join the restoration of Ukraine’s cultural heritage.

President Zelenskyy extended an invitation to President Mattarella to visit Ukraine.

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul and State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker joins the NYS American Academy of Pediatrics and over 100 anti-vaping advocates at the State Capitol to rally support for the Governor's campaign to ban all flavored nicotine vaping products, including menthol flavors, and to restrict vaping advertisements aimed at youth.

The legislation, proposed by the Governor as part of this year's budget, would also authorize the State Department of Health to regulate the sale of vaping product carrier oils deemed to be a public health risk and prohibit the online, phone and mail order sale of e-cigarettes. Only registered retailers would be allowed to purchase e-cigarettes using those methods. The campaign also includes a new hashtag - #NoVapeNY - as well as a petition where New Yorkers can show their support for the legislation and a website - ny.gov/endvaping - with more information about the Governor's proposals.

These proposals build on the Governor's previous actions to protect New Yorkers from the dangers of vaping and cigarette smoking. In 2017, the Governor expanded the Clean Indoor Air Act to prohibit e-cigarette use in nearly every workplace setting to protect workers and the public from harmful secondhand tobacco smoke and vaping aerosols. In 2019, e-liquid retailers were required to register with the Department of Taxation and Finance, and the Governor signed legislation to raise the minimum age to purchase tobacco and electronic cigarette products from 18 to 21 - the law went into effect on November 13, 2019.

From 2014 to 2018 youth use of e-cigarettes has increased by 160 percent. Nearly 40 percent of 12th grade students and 27 percent of all high school students are now using e-cigarettes. Flavored nicotine e-liquids are the principal marketing strategy of the vaping industry. One in five youth believe that nicotine e-cigarettes are both harmless and not addictive. Although Tiviot Dale station closed in 1967, the line remained until disaster happened in 1982. During work to the nearby M60 (then the M63) part of the tunnel roof was damaged. By 1986 the track had been lifted. It had been built in 1965, and is 225 yards long. Above the supported section in the middle is St Mary's church. The straight supports are constructed out of railway tracks. Underneath them there are the remains of a few wooden sleepers. Both ends of the tunnel are back filled with rubble to about four feet of the roof.
