another manila bay sunset. again, this is from the mall of asia, one of the biggest malls here in manila, taken when the sun is about to set. the horizon is yellow-orange, the sky is still blue, and the sea glimmered with a golden tinge. that was just a heavenly sight!

perhaps one of the more breathtaking altars i have seen in bangkok is this magnificent one, housing a fantastic Buddha built in gold and crystal. this is also within the Wat Po temple, which houses the reclining Buddha. note the hand painted walls and ceilings and the splendid flower arrangements of lotus flowers all over!

Fall River Justice Center
Fall River, Massachusetts
Seat of the district court for the southeastern Massachusetts city of Fall River and towns of Freetown, Somerset, Swansea, and Westport. Also, I assume this is where the Super Friends would hang out if they were based in Fall River :-)
Taken with the Nikon 24mm tilt/shift lens—shifted up and handheld—on an impromptu reconnaissance mission minus a tripod, not thinking I would use the image for anything other than future planning purposes. But I decided to play with it a bit in post to judge composition, which I liked, and an otherwise dull image came to life (for me) after fiddling a bit with the "Bristling Energy" texture in Topaz Texture Effects 2.
I know, I know. I'm corny. What can I say?

i missed the sunset yesterday, so i am posting something i took a while back. the colors of the sky are pretty much how i saw them, straight out of my nikon, that is why i love this camera! the active d-lighting brings out the subtle changes in the sky which would otherwise be either overblown or underexposed.
i am having my D90 converted to a purely IR camera soon...i can't wait to see what comes out of that!

25-Apr-2017; Today this MOC was featured on the Brothers Brick. Which is quite an honour.
This MOC is now about three years old. It is part of my larger Hall of Justice MOC, and most recently displayed at Brick-a-laide. (Click the album link to the left for full shots)
It was originally built just after Lego released the first Luthor Mech. I wasn't happy with the set. Now that's not a judgement on the set. But rather me admitting that 5year old me was a huge Superfriends fan, and that for me, the classic Lex power armor is the only Lex power armor.
And that's how this took shape. There's been a few tweaks since then. The original custom sticker I used on the chest were replaced with the printed tile Lego released. The arms were reinforced. And the interior cockpit is quite well detailed (and of course never seen).
Because 5year old me still lovingly remembers The Lex Luthor "Super Powers Collection" Action figure with "Power Action Nuclear Punch" and a tiny comic book that I must have thumbed to death. I present - The LEX Mech.

orchids are one of the more challenging flowers to photograph (aside from gerberas, of course! lol)! in this shot, look closely and you will see the image of a little bird with eyes, a beak and wings! if you have a wilder imagination, you may even see a bird-fish, with a tail like that of a mermaid, taking a swan dive! lol!

I did not take many picture during Penang Superfriends Outing but I think I like this picture personally. I would like to say a million thanks to all people from Penang and from other part of Malaysia who take their time to join this photo outing. It's good to meet a "Virtual Friends" in "Real Time" or face to face, unlike through Facebook, Flickr or any Social Media site.

This is a church that is part of the Complesso Sant'Antonio Abate
I discovered this place on Sunday for the "FAI" spring days (FAI is the main Italian foundation not profit for the protection, the safeguard and the cure of the artistic and naturalistic patrimony)
after a visit to the cloister we entered to the church... and i reminded with my mouth open in admiration...
the works of restoration were finished last year so the church is with all it splendor!!!
the shot is not the best... but I had not much time and the place were full of people!!! at least 200 persons at time!!! and at the moment I can't go there fore another session of shots because it's only open for services...
