No HDR, no DRI, but still some processing: On the original shot, the sky was only 1/4 of what you see now. This is because I wanted to capture the maximum of the dune. But for the final composition, I wanted to make a square format with half sky/half dune, so what I did is 'expand' the sky using Photoshop's transform/scale tool.
Then applied a blue gradient on the sky, a curve with a layer mask to add some variation of luminosity on the dune.
And finally, I 'cloned out' lots of little debris here and there on the sand.

This is a Lancewood (NZ native) tree that grows in our garden, it has a long slender trunk and tuft of leaves at the top. It's probably about 3 -4 metres tall ( I am hopeless at estimating heights). The juvenile form is quite different from this, you would hardly tell it was the same plant.
I am going to be away for the next couple of days so I will wish you all a wonderful weekend now.
got a bunch of these from a patient (how sweet of her), and before having them for snack today, i decided to photograph them! lol! these were not green but the golden variety. it has a delicately sweet taste with an unusually fine texture. delicious!

good night my friends! see you tomorrow!
this is back in washington dc. found this tree with glow from street lamps at the park beside the white house. the sun has set, but the sky still had a bluish hue, and i thought it had a nice contrast with the golden glow the street lamps gave the leaves of the tree...

took this shot outside the DC botanical gardens. wondering whether this is a mutant coneflower, or altogether another plant, or if the petals have just dropped off or have not sprouted! lol! whatever! it is a great subject for an interesting photo.

A cloudy and rainy day on China Beach, Da Nang, Vietnam where I'm currently spending a few days. The broadband connection of the hotel is very decent, which allows me to share with you my fresh photos almost instantly!
