Thanks to renowned designer Eugene Gregorie, the automotive world was blessed with some of the greatest styling to come from Ford. The 1948 Super Deluxe you see here was one of his last designs before leaving Ford Motor Company, one that aided him in winning the Designer Lifetime Achievement Award in 1990. Most however, remember the 1948 Ford as the car Ralph Macchio’s character, Daniel Larusso, drove in the 1984 film Karate Kid. Given to Daniel by his mentor Mr. Miyagi, the car listed here is almost a dead ringer for the movie car used in several scenes.
Considered a timeless classic by many collectors, this 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible listed here is a wonderfully restored example finished in a stunning color combination. The beautiful Maize Yellow exterior is complemented nicely by the Tan Stayfast top and two tone Red Vinyl and Tan Cloth interior. Powered by the 239ci flathead engine and 3 speed manual transmission, it is a joy to drive, with ample power to cruise today’s roads. Other notable features include and under dash heater, working AM Radio, Power top, Fender Shirts, reproduction Firestone Wide White Wall tires, dual exhaust with “Ford” script exhaust turndown tips, Bumper Guards, dual side mirrors, dual sunvisors, full gauge cluster and more.
This wonderful driving car has seen only 8,722 miles since its restoration, and although done several years ago, still presents itself very well. A dry Texas car for most of its life, it has survived well and appears to be very solid and largely original. The engine purrs with a symphony only a flathead can produce and flows thru new exhaust with classic resonators. The transmission shifts smoothly, and steering is with almost no effort. The brakes and tires are also in great shape. The paint and chrome are in wonderful condition, as is the stainless trim and interior. Our mechanics has recently performed a fluid service along with an inspection, giving the car a glowing “thumbs up”.

This original HQ Belmont station wagon was seen parked in a NSW Central Western town about four years ago. The HQ series was the most prolific Holden to date, selling over 400,000 units between 1971 and 1974.
Wide view of interior with most trim and carpeting removed. Shortly after this photo was taken, I used undiluted Zep pressure washer detergent (Home Depot) and a brush to clean the entire interior. I removed the moisture barrier plastic from the doors and sprayed the mechanisms in the doors. I used 140 degrees hot water and a hose to flush the interior including the door interiors. The car was left in the sun to dry and returned to the garage.
A once common period roof rack, external sunvisor, original number plate combine to make this 40 year old 186 six-cylinder HT Holden Kingswood wagon a very representative example of what was once a common sight on Australian roads. The vehicle was on display in the Inverell's National Transport Museum in January 2005.

Shown here is a pair of OEM MY2008-12 Subaru Impreza WRX sun visors. These are completed in pure black Alcantara and finished with a hand-sewn cherry blossom red upper. Unlike the STI model which features black trim hardware, the WRX features a light grey.

The Austin A40 must have been a much loved family car. The passenger side sun-visor has "Mom" spelt out with pin cushions. The driver's side has "Dad".
Because I haven't upload any photo's for 4 days, so I took a picture of my finished lieutenant Thire, and it looks really good with the ARC Trooper sunvisor.

Jeans beetle is presented to the public in September 1973, but the first models leave the factory in August. It's officially designated by the factory as "S761 Jeans" ( S for Sondermodelle, meaning special model or, more precisely special edition) but will be referenced in the VW lists as the "Jeans Bug". It's constructed on the model 111 and 112 of the model year 1974 (111: Type 1 - model 1200/1200 L - left-hand driving; 112: Type 1 - model 1200/1200 L - right-hand driving). Jeans will receive the color "Tunis Gelb" and the elements usually chromium-plated on the basic beetle, will be painted here in black. A black stripe is affixed on the flanks of the car with Jeans logo. Another logo is on the engine hood. Front and rear bumpers, headlights trim, bonnet, boot and door lock, front blinkers, external mirror, exhaust tailpipes and the rear hood lock are painted in black. The trim strips and window frame are elements in anodized black aluminium. Note that running board don't have trim strips, that the bumpers are underlined with a silver stripe and the lock of the rear hood is a push button.Seats covered with blue jeans cloth with yellow sewings. Doors panels are also in blue color. Grey carpet with 4 rubber floor mates. At the roof: 2 white sunvisors and the headliner is a short model. it is also in white color. Seats with integrated headrestraints (M227 option) were available in some countries. The S761 edition received various equipments. Equipments are: 12 volts system, Lemmertz GT sports wheels, passenger sun visor, fuel gauge in the speedometer, "sport" gear lever, reverse light and the Blaupunkt "Wolfsburg" radio. We can note some differences of equipment according to the countries of delivery.

Two hours were spent with the central vacuum cleaner cleaning the carpeting while it was still in the vehicle.
The carpeting was removed from the vehicle and washed using undiluted ZEP Pressure Washer Concentrate and a brush. 140 degree hot water connected to the shop hose was used to rinse and dislodge all embedded sand. The sand on the blacktop is from the carpeting.
The carpeting was allowed to dry outdoors in the sun and overnight.
