The most beautiful sunset I have ever seen on Mono Lake. The colours were amazing. So vivid and changing all the time. This was the last of the reds as the sun disappeared.
The lake has no sea outlet. Dissolved salts in the runoff remains in the lake and raise the water's pH levels and salt concentration. Tufa columns (limestone) are formed and are part of the interesting landscape of Mono Lake
Saturday evening on iena we had an incredible sunset. Here i was in front of the Basilica dell'Osservanza.

A large sun setting over that bridge tower. Is the sun size too big in scale?

Industrial Sunset
A sunset over the Fawley Oil Refinery. The flames from the tall chimneys are where impurities are burnt off as part of the processing.
The puff or orange flame, about a third in from the left indicates when that happens.
The dozens of various chimneys hint at the complexity of the operations and processes at the Refinery.
Emissions are very strictly controlled from the Refinery as it is on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
Another murmuration (or black sun) of Starlings, this time not near Kinderdijk but somewhere in Gelderland (an eastern province of Holland).
Here, the Starlings flew much higher and with a dramatic sunset to match I was able to use a wideangle.

Nothing can beat the smell of dew and flowers and odour that comes out of the earth when the sun goes down. (Ethel Waters)

U2 was touring to Hawaii and chilling on the beach. Suddenly, the IRA showed up and was fighting Antifa on the beach head for the last shaved ice cones.
