Every thing is bigger in Texas!
We waited about an hour before the Chisos Mountains to produce this stunning scene. Photo taken atop a hill along nature trail at Rio Grande Village campground, Big Bend, Texas.

I just loved this view from up in the Eastern Sierra. I was out looking for sunsets light and was over near the hot springs when the sun dipped below this little hill and cast a brilliant golden glow on the monsoonal clouds that were rolling in (we got stormed on for the next two days). This is an 8 or 9 shot panorama that I stitched together in Camera RAW to show the breadth and grandure of the scene.
It's less than two weeks until I move North now - so am making the most what opportunities I get to shoot here. Low tide on the Severn near Longney on a beautiful Autumnal afternoon. this sand was a lot more sinky than it looks!

Taken last week on a lunchtime stroll … many of the trees are now starting to lose their blossoms. Have a lovely weekend!
I'm just back to Luxembourg and despite the wet and windy weather we had in Ireland I managed to get out a couple of times up in the Mourne Mountains.
The forecast for the first day was dry with strong wind gusts. I thought I'd give it a chance since I was spending too much time home bound.
It turned out to be far too windy and I only did about half the route I had planned. I could hardly stand straight and photography was a real challenge. Nonetheless, I think I managed to pull off my favourite image of this trip. The light was just sublime.

Here's one from what was possibly the nicest Grand Canyon viewpoint I have ever seen. Point Sublime. Located well west of the main north rim viewpoints. It's almost directly across from the Bright Angel Lodge. It was about a two hour ride on a dirt road. This was taken at dusk. I camped out there for the night.
I know intense red sunrise photos work best on the internet. Oh well, I like the Venus belt even more! Here is one for you with intense blues and magentas. Don't chase the trend, do what you love.
