This is the new subframe as I got it. It needs cleaning up and I'll rebuild the brakes and suspension whilst I'm at it.
Sorry about that...Ignore my arse, but look at the foundation and subframe. All posts in! Subframe partially complete.
This is the aluminum subframe for the cargo carrier for my cbr929rr before I fitted it to the bike. It is made from a cut up piece of extruded aluminum C channel with a short section of aluminum tube for the cross brace.
Project SR-71:
1971 Datsun 240Z with an sr20de-t. I have fabbed in a rear subframe from a 1990 Nissan 240SX S13 as well as the complete IRS from the S13. This includes the differential from a R32 Skyline and axles. I have also fabbed in the S13 front crossmember which allows me to use all of the suspension components from the S13. In order to make this work, I actually had to extend the wheelbase of the Datsun by about 7.5". This actually helps because the Datsun has a short wheelbase as it is, so this longer wheelbase puts it at about the same as the S13.
