Check the notes for specifics on some of the penguins.
I like penguins. A lot. I'd love to get to actually play with a real one some day.
However, I am more discriminating when it comes to the penguins I'd like to have in the house. On an annual basis, I receive great heaps of penguin crap from well-intentioned folks. Much of it ends up on eBay or at Goodwill.
finally, i met "ty" octopus! his/her name is Wiggly.
it's not real animal but looks really real..
my flickr friend Rosebud23 has a lovely octopus. her octopus set is wonderful! when i saw it, i've fallen in love with that octopus! and i'd like to add the octopus in my stuffed animals collection.
my brother didn't know that. but he got the octopus! so, i met the octopus!! i'm so happy..
This is my most precious teddy bear; my grandfather bought him for me at a Swap Meet when I lived in California. He once had a bow around his neck, but I didn't think it looked good on him.
I'm generally a huge fan of beavers. They're among my favorite animals...so industrious, and really cute as babies. But this bin of stuffed beavers at Ikea, was, well, terrifying.
A dog who has had many adventures. In this one, he meets the evil fluffy cat. I do not think it is a happy adventure.
My kids were goofing off, posing the stuffed racoons like they were playing my son's trombone.
I tried to talk my son out of the trombone - it's about the nerdiest instrument out there. The proof? I played trombone in high school, as did my father-my-law. My son is also joining the surf team so that should offset some of the nerd factor.
Trombones are much lighter than I remember, when I was a scrawny little shrimp lugging this huge case on and off the school bus every day.
I had wanted to practice sculpting with LEGO. I don't use any cad - my work is all freehand, after a rough sketch on paper. Glen is a LEGO replication of a stuffed animal.
Meet Foofoo.
She's my newest addition to my stuffed animal family.
She's really cute and looks like Bella and wishes everyone a merry Christmas and hopes you all enjoy the last 8 hours before Christmas is over :(
I walk in the hallways and wonder, who are these people? I look people in the eyes and wonder, where did you go? I look around at all these smiling faces and wonder if they're truly happy. Everyone around me has changed. Everyone around me has become just so f-a-k-e.
Sorry for the late upload. I never have time on Tuesdays to edit my pictures and put them up. Expect double uploads on Wednesdays from now until early April.

Carnival worker Patricia Romero Villa hangs carnival prizes in her game booth as the carnival pulls into town Sunday and starts to set up.
Whitman 1954 Big Big Paint Book
Hello everyone! Since some of you may have children staying at home, I thought this was a good time to share scans of one of my vintage coloring books, in this case paint book. The book is large and has a lot of pages so it will take me several days to post over 300 pages. I love the art work in these old books.
Except for the title page, I tried to whiten the others so they did have a tan hue.
I made this kitty and dog from a vintage pattern. They were made as a baby shower gift. They are the 9" high size
This is my childhood favourite stuffed animal. And yes, I still have him. He's important. Not going anywhere long term without him. Just practicing my studio lighting.
More memories from Mom's house. These adorable stuffies were gifts from my aunt to my Mom. We are not Irish but her husband was and very proud of it. So she would always send a St. Patrick's Day card and some small gift to my Mom at this time of year. I love the Irish rabbit! And the little teddy bear is a Boyd's Bear, so they are treasures that I continue to enjoy. Good memories of all of them, since they have now all passed.
And Irish poem I found online that says it best...
Those we love don't go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
