I love the enthusiasm for study and learning that I have seen in so many of my Japanese students.

I confess I am a big lover of nerds. I love smart people, and I love people who have a passion to learn.

The Japanese in this painting is: "Ganbatte", "Gambarimasu", which means: "You can do it!", "I can do it". Kids say this kind of thing at school all the time. The background says: "I like study" a lot.

This painting was exhibited as part of my "Tiny Town" Exhibition at Keith and Lottie Gallery, Northbridge (Western Australia), in November 2007. There is a total of 18 paintings in this collection.

A photo that I recently entered into my college's photo contest under the category of "student life." I feel pretty good about this one, except for the slight overexposed corner on the top right. Oh well. Wish me luck.

I've been studying all day, my younger brother decided to take a picture of my "hard work" hah, it's actually a good picture with terrible webcam quality. Off to work!
