This is another dye sample influenced by war and camouflage. I used brown dyes, blue, green, emerald green and also watered down black to give a dirty and grimy look.

I wanted it to resemble the soldiers uniforms and the dark and camouflaged colours of nature and undergrowth that they hide under.

The painted study. This shade of blue was supposed to be more of a slate-it came out brighter than either Yankee Bill or I had expected. Since we are using the same color in Buddy's room I think it will be good there. Down here we will have to see if we can get used to it.

The style of teaching and learning in America is different to the UK. In

the USA there is a lot more homework assignments, because the classes are

split into smaller sections in how they are marked. There is less emphasis

on an end of semester exam. I find whilst studying in CSUMB I spent more

time doing homework and less time 'revising', there is more of an

application process. I multi-task more as I have lots of different things

to do at once.
