This the top off an old vintage perfume bottle. I wanted to create this abstract with the use of creative lighting.
Impulse buy yesterday at the market.
Something I don't often have in winter, but they seemed like such a great idea for the feel of a burst of summer.

A maximal-sized and spectacularly marked male Peninsula Brown Snake (Pseudonaja inframacula) from the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. Taken with a Canon EOS 5D DSLR coupled to a vintage Carl Zeiss 60/2.8 Makro Planar T* 1:2 C/Y (mm) lens with a mount from Leitax. Manual focus, settings, tripod & Elinchrom lighting kit utilised.
Commissioned piece for a client.

When I was a kid I was highly impacted by David Lynch's DUNE... The mentats and the blue of blues have always fascinated me... with the new version coming out soon I thought I could play a bit with the concept during the post production of a playful time in the studio
Had a great time having my old friend Kofi in my studio the other day. Made several large format film exposures, but made a few digital frames as well.
Fly's Christmas card list gets longer every year... he wanted to send a Christmas shout out to all his pals on Flickr!
Savage gray paper backdrop. Two speedlights with green gels. Three-foot softbox low right. Multiple flags and lights attempted from the left... Christmas lights shot separately in darkened room. Final image composited in Photoshop.
This is Madison and she was our model for the final class on Studio Lighting at Harmon School of Photography in Orlando, Fl.
All lighting setup is performed by the instructors and each student gets a few shots with each lighting setup. It was great fun and I highly recommend this type of class if you are interested in studio lighting.
