Strobist info: paul c buff ultra studio light at just below 3/4 power snooted camera left, thyristor flash gelled blue high camera right above and slightly behind subject, flagged to keep it from hitting the wall behind or from splashing too much in front- triggered by optical trigger. Canon 430EXii at minimum power in a DIY beauty dish in front and below subject. gold reflector in front of subject.
Some folks from our local camera club met in Gary's studio to work with studio strobe lights. Shot with D600, Nikkor 24-85mm, ISO 6400, f/3.3, 1/10 second hand held.

This is way to processed for my taste really, but I liked the shot. However, his shoulders were completely blown out and I didn't notice. Bringing them back down in ACR ruined the rest of the photo (mechanically), but for some reason I still dig it. Just, the really really small version :)

During the Last day of Crossing Bridges V program in Siem Reap, Cambodia, we went for a boat ride to the Tonle Sap lake. As soon as I saw the rainbow, I thot that this is a near perfect ending of the trip, hence this self portrait :D

It was portrait night at camera club - I got the chance to play with some studio equipment. Well I say play... someone else set it all up, I just got to see the end result really!
