Sun Studios retains the same flooring, sound tiles, and even some musical equipment from the days when Elvis, Johnny Cash, and many other famous musicians filled it with their sound. It's still an active recording studio today, as well as a National Historic Landmark.

Yes! The renovation is done. The blue Studio "Neptunus" on the first floor is ready too. It has high ceiling, big windows, a complete kitchen plus bathroom with shower. There is a large double bed for two adults and in a seperate bedroom there are bunk beds for two kids.

I found this inscription ('Atelier' is german for studio) over the entrance to the old photo studio.
As a reverence to the old times, I played a bit with it in photoshop to make it look older...
CorkStop Studios is an artist's studio in San Luis Obispo County on California's beautiful Central Coast, half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It is home to three contemporary artists: Carol Paquet, Anne Stahl and Xenia Madison. All three are abstract painters and printmakers who are schooled, exhibited and collected internationally.

This is Wimbledon Studios better known as Sun Hill Police Station from The Bill. Since the end of filming The Bill in August 2010 the Studios have been used for a number of TV shows and music videos.
When i Visited on the 23rd August 2012 the front has been changed and an unknown show was being filmed the stations has been renamed East Central Police and the front office has also been changed. (If anyone knows what is being filmed, please comment)
From the end of Sept 2012 - Oct 2012 Wimbledon Studios will be giving tours of the Sun Hill Police Station lead by former cast members, I wonder if the will return the changed parts back for the way it was for the 27 years of the show.

As part of college, for my photography assignment I was required to shoot a photograph in the studio using flash.
The camera I used was a super-lovely digital Hasselblad, medium format. Original file is HUGE, this is a quick jpeg upload, not even with the fine-tuned-level of sharpening I did (in 3 sections) - and the final image had a thin black boarder of about 15pixels.
The model is the lovely Kasia, who judging by my contact sheets the world will be seeing much more of.
It's much better viewed in print, in all it's 12x16 window mounted glory.
In January I had a great opportunity to try some studio photography with the Darwin Photo Walks Group. I have never shot in a studio before, nor I have a shot with off camera flashes. This event at Nina K's Studio gave me the opportunity to use studio lighting and when the studio lights were being used I was also able to use Pocketwizards on my Canon 430EXII flash to try some different styles.
Thank you Nina K for the use of your Studio, it was a great afternoon.
