So, here is where I work, so you can see that I am not a ridiculous slob. It's funny how quickly a sewing room can get chaotic, and then it seems like so much work to organize it. But so pleasant to be in when everything is where it belongs!

Here's one corner, it's full right now and I'm longing for a bigger space.

Just a few of my favorites from this week's studio class at school. We used a speedotron light set and the lighting set up obviously varies depending on the shot.

I like the placement of Yasmine's hands here. I think they frame her face nicely. I also wanted a tighter picture to highlight her make up. I like the expression here. It feels intimate and also a little vulnerable.

Today we got inducted into the studio and had fun playing around with softboxes, grids, and other fun things. Naturally, I had to take a few pictures of my incredibly photogenic classmates! This is the lovely Ronda, who was a real sport and an excellent model!

Softbox camera right, triggered by Skyports. Can't remember what power it was, sorry. :( And gridded barndoor light high camera left aimed at the background for a bit of shadow definition.

Met up with my long-time friend Dan Simoaica in the studio for his new website. You know, photographer to photographer, musician to musician... it went pretty good by my standards, even if I was REALLY rusty. Strobist info: Shot this with Elinchrom monos: one through a large octa subject left and another through a gridded snoot on the backdrop. All triggered with Skyport.
