Oakland University student Natalia Pulawska recently landed an internship with the city of Rochester. The human resources management major was hired in February to assist with city administration and has been a welcome source of support to her colleagues. On Tuesday, second and third graders at Glide Elementary visited the Umpqua North Complex fire camp. While there, student toured the camp and spoke to both firefighters and military soldiers about what they do while they're fighting wildfires and when they aren't.
Student Wellness Days, hosted this week by our Student Affairs department, aim to to help students reduce stress during final exams. Activities include yoga, chair massages, origami, and other stress relief exercises
The UIS community enjoyed Welcome Week activities during the week of August 20. This annual tradition is designed to introduce students to Chancellor and Mrs. Ringeisen, clubs and organizations, sporting events, and many other aspects of our campus. Great info, good food, live music, and lots of fun.
