The former Hotel Dunsmuir from 1908 was demolished from January 18th-20th, 2025.

Pfaffenhof I is a student residence on the campus of Vaihingen, 3 minutes from the S-bahn Universität. The buildings are of the 70s, and have received an architectural award for its distribution.
The architectural theme in these three photographs today culminates in this impressive University of Tasmania apartment block. It sits right alongside the community gardens I have mentioned in my previous photographs. The university describes the unique process of construction employed by local architect and building firms:
"The Inveresk apartments are Tasmania's first prefabricated timber-framed multi-storey residential development, combining prefabricated, lightweight timber framing with structural cross-laminated timber (CLT) in favour of traditional concrete and steel. The building was designed by local firms Morrison and Breytenbach and Circa Morris-Nunn Architects, with technical expertise from the University's Centre for Sustainable Architecture with Wood and the team's structural engineers."

Since corrected.
Midwifery student Nicky "opted in to work during the pandemic", which left her "worried for vulnerable people but glad the hospital is taking measures to protect patients and staff." She says "it's been hard with staff shortages and isolations, but there have been a lot of people coming forward to help." She hopes "NHS staff continue to get the recognition they deserve."
Nicky is one of 67 NHS staff I photographed across George Eliot Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic first wave.
"Humans of the Pandemic" features portraits and thoughts from many roles incl. doctors, domestics, maternity, mortuary, nurses, pathology, pharmacy, physio, and surgery – to name a few.

Rover School is in session...
In Basic Rover Operations 101, one of the first skills we must master is the use of the Grabber. This clawed implement provides a handy way to interact with the environment without needing to leave the comfort of your plush upholstered pilot's chair or risk contamination from unknown flora or fauna.
Here some PinkTron Exchange Students pass the test with a demonstration of their Grabber prowess. (Don't worry, the Daisy Gazer student volunteer was unharmed in the demonstration.)

Yeah right.
The Police van was left 'abandoned' by the police to give justification for their controversial kettling tactics, and so the BBC and the rest of the worlds media can discredit the protest and focus on the violence, just as Royal Bank of Scotland in the City of London was mysteriously the only building in the area during the G20 protests not to be boarded up and subsequently smashed.
