Stuart was a very lucky kitten earlier this week. Someone, my guess a BYB, dumped him in a cardboard box on the edge of my apartment complex. Aw cute a kitten! Oh wait...there is a reason he was dumped. Neither backleg is attached properly, causing them to flail around when picked up. He is incontinent. His last few vertebrae are fused to his spine causing his pelvis (Which is not formed correctly either) to curl slightly. Not that Stuart has ANY idea he is disabled. He "runs" after my other cat, scratches on the sisal carpet, and licks my nose. While he has a possibility of a home with a person who is experienced with cats with this disability, I would like to see if anyone has ideas onto a foundation or group who would sponsor a full set of x-rays to see what exactly is going on in there. While I do not think it possible to make the legs usable again, it might help to find a surgery to help ease the nerve sensitivity around the "tail" end. DARN I HATE BACKYARD BREEDERS. Stewie doesn't deserve this. :(
