Decided to stick close to home for this week's theme. This is the John Barrow monument in Ulverston, in surprisingly beautiful weather :-)

Last time we were up there it was ticking over midnight on New Year's Eve/Day, there was more of a view this time!

Once was. A stone wall that is left from an bygone era from the Paxinosa hotel.

Looking through the diamond sculpture at Sudbury

This is actually support structure for power lines crossing the Willamette river. But, in my opinion at least, in this photo, it looks like something that has been 'lost' to a forest or jungle over and extended period of time.

Fernandes Residence

Designers: A-1 Construction, The Construction Zone

Style: Midcentury Modern/Contemporary

Model: The Cholla

Notes: The existing floor plan was opened to create shared use space consisting of living, dining and kitchen. A subterranean master bedroom and bath were added taking advantage of southern mountain views. Materials used for new construction include integral color concrete masonry units, galvanized metal shingles, anodized aluminum and solex glass. Running along the spine of the existing structure is a fin-color plywood soffit; other interior finishes include black slate, plate steel, and maple. Exterior architecture consists of an orthogonal composition of grass tufts and river-rock filled gabion baskets.

Structured: An exhibit of work by nine artists at Spattered Columns, 491 Broadway (near Broome), 5th Floor, NYC

Students transitioned from using 2D materials to create sculptural forms to using toothpicks and candy to create 3D structures. Students were given 4 parts to build with: toothpicks, large gum drops, small gum drops, and candy corn. Students were allowed to work together or individually and tried to make the biggest structure while implementing a visual design element of their choice.

While seated at Cafe Breton, Greenbelt Park 3, I took notice of a man seated all by himself in the edge of Cafe Havana. Could it be "Unhappy Hour"?

3D work that I did while at my previous job.

The skeleton structure (posts, beams and braces) is now complete. Now we have to put the roof on, and also build the stud-framework for three sides.
