The pantheon boasts of a Foucault Pendulum. Apparently it was installed here to show that science and not religion ruled the word. Watever the reason of it being there, I thoroughly enjoyed looking at it and actually seeing it rotate around as the earth rotated.

Two women and a Child enjoy the Beach, Venice Beach, California
The concept of the photo is to show the solitude of a deserted beach.
Found while hanging at the beach. Possibly some sort of old factory. There were rows of these, but after discovering a transient off in the distance, we chose not to continue exploring the rest, for our own safety.
What did they say about curiosity and the cat? I think the owners should re-think a screen purchase.
Thomaston Volunteers were alerted for a possible house fire at 69 Electric Ave, they arrived to find a 2 story wood frame dwelling with heavy fire showing. An immediate call went out to neighboring towns for mutual aid bringing a ladder and engine from Terryville to the scene and one engine from Northfield to cover the station. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire on the first and second floors but it would take almost 2 hours to put out the stubborn fire in the cock loft and attic space. With the collapse of the second floor ceilings and heavy fire in the attic interior crews were pulled out of the structure. Thomaston's Tower 1 was then set up so crews could access the roof to open it up, venting the attic and hopefully getting at the seat of the fire. While this was in progress the Terryville crews backed in their tower and set up to open up the opposite end of the roof. As the fire successfully vented both towers and ground crews with large diameter hand lines deluged the fire and brought it under control. The structure was badly damage and the roof near collapse when the fire was finally declared out. Crews would remain on scene for an extended period for overhaul and to assist the fire marshal with lighting so an investigation of the fire could begin. There were no civilians displaced or injured as the house had been recently vacated by it's tenants.
These images all started as pictures of some actual object, scene or whatever, but have been played with in Photo Shop in various ways. In some you might recognize the original subject matter, in many they bear little resemblance to what they started as. I love hearing what different people see in these almost as much as I love making them, so fire away--tell me what you see or feel about them!
Most of the images in this set will really reward being seen as large as possible.
Hoisting a large wooden beam over the top of Mareel, which will make up part of the structure for the large glass window and wall of the cafe/bar.
