These images all started as pictures of some actual object, scene or whatever, but have been played with in Photo Shop in various ways. In some you might recognize the original subject matter, in many they bear little resemblance to what they started as. I love hearing what different people see in these almost as much as I love making them, so fire away--tell me what you see or feel about them!
Most of the images in this set will really reward being seen as large as possible.

as soon as we got to the other side of the bridge the lights went out, it was very dark.
This is how high the structure is after modifying it and removing about 20" or so off of the side legs.

Structure of water molecule is made up of one molecule of oxygen and two molecules of hydrogen bonded covalently. Water (H2O) essentially considered one of the most important substances found on the earth. It covers over 70% of the earth’s surface and makes up as much as 95% of the living organisms. It is virtually unique among liquids because of molecular structure.
The Magnetic Structure Determination Workshop 2016 is part of an annual series alternately organized by the Quantum Condensed Matter Division, Neutron Sciences Directorate of ORNL and the NIST Center for Neutron Research and the University of Maryland. This year, the school is co-hosted by the Florida State University.
The school aims to enhance the community studying magnetism in materials by learning from experts the essential theoretical foundations to magnetic representation analysis and work through real examples to gain experience in solving and refining magnetic structures from neutron powder and single crystal diffraction data.
