I pulled out my echino stash and even though this wasn't what I had in mind, I had fun piecing together these strip sections into this quilt top. It'll probably be a wall hanging when done. Blogged here.

66846 can been seen through the old dilapidated footbridge at Teignmouth station the bridge was stripped back a few months ago now, but not a lot seems to be happening with it.
this was so easy, seriously. if you can cut and sew in a straight line, you can make this quilt. thank you julie for the inspiration!

Little experimentation with two shots of a parking garage. The now clear bottom of one shot overlapping part of the other picture, looks pretty cool in real life. No PS involved here, I just flopped it down on my scanner the way it really is.
Paint contractor Ryan Fleagle is pulling the vinyl off the side of what will become the Conrail Museum. Rudy Garbely did outstanding work creating the files used to create stencils for all the lettering on the car. Fleagle then painted inside those stencils, leaving us with an all paint exterior, down to the smallest details. This was the same method used on the other boxcar-turned-museum on the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail and it still looks fresh seven years later.

made from paper strips: 7 types with different length
- 2 types of black and 2 types of yellow strips, all of them go through the whole length of torus (yellow: 2 x 212 squares, 1 x 212 squares, black: 2 x 302 squares, 1 x 632 squares - but it's impossible to make a torus with such long strips, they must be divided to shorter strips)
- 1 type of orange strips, go through app. 3/5 of torus (5 x 170 squares)
- 2 types of brown strips, they are shortest (10 x 26 squares long, 5 x 56 squares long)

I think the correct name for this type of cloud is Lenticular. I've never seen cloud formations like it before and I can see why they could be mistaken for UFO sightings.

Lined with upscale casino hotels, the neon-soaked Strip is quintessential Las Vegas. As well as gambling floors, the vast hotel complexes house a variety of shops, restaurants (ranging from mainstream to high-end), and performance venues for music, comedy and circus-style acts. Attractions like the soaring, choreographed Fountains of Bellagio and the High Roller observation wheel draw crowds.

Today stripped 751 of useful parts, it only did three weeks back on the road since being stored over winter. It will depart for scrap later this week. A once strong fleet of four Alexander PS's now consists of just one (K779 DAO which by the way is the best one).
