Phoebes are a Flycatcher and like to perch beside open meadows. They will swoop off their perch and make sharp turns as the capture winged insects in flight. A pair will claim a meadow area and fly between favorite perches.

Root - cooked. Thin and stringy. The flower clusters can be french-fried to produce a carrot-flavored gourmet's delight. The aromatic seed is used as a flavoring in stews etc.. The dried roasted roots are ground into a powder and are used for making coffee.
CAUTION: Carrots sometimes cause allergic reactions in some people[46]. Skin contact with the sap is said to cause photo-sensitivity and/or dermatitis in some people.
MEDICINAL USES: Anthelmintic; Carminative; Contraceptive; Deobstruent; Diuretic; Emmenagogue; Galactogogue; Ophthalmic; Stimulant.
The wild carrot is an aromatic herb that acts as a diuretic, soothes the digestive tract and stimulates the uterus. A wonderfully cleansing medicine, it supports the liver, stimulates the flow of urine and the removal of waste by the kidneys. The whole plant is anthelmintic, carminative, deobstruent, diuretic, galactogogue, ophthalmic, stimulant. An infusion is used in the treatment of various complaints including digestive disorders, kidney and bladder diseases and in the treatment of dropsy. An infusion of the leaves has been used to counter cystitis and kidney stone formation, and to diminish stones that have already formed. Carrot leaves contain significant amounts of porphyries, which stimulate the pituitary gland and lead to the release of increased levels of sex hormones. The plant is harvested in July and dried for later use. A warm water infusion of the flowers has been used in the treatment of diabetes. The grated raw root, especially of the cultivated forms, is used as a remedy for threadworms. The root is also used to encourage delayed menstruation. The root of the wild plant can induce uterine contractions and so should not be used by pregnant women. A tea made from the roots is diuretic and has been used in the treatment of urinary stones. The seeds are diuretic, carminative, emmenagogue and anthelmintic. An infusion is used in the treatment of oedema, flatulent indigestion and menstrual problems. The seed is a traditional 'morning after' contraceptive and there is some evidence to uphold this belief. It requires further investigation. Carrot seeds can be Abortifacient and so should not be used by pregnant women.

An essential oil obtained from the seed has an orris-like scent. It is used in perfumery and as a food flavoring. The oil has also been used cosmetically in anti-wrinkle creams.
After acquiring a Beatty secrets Barbie head in my most recent doll bundle i decided to give her a makeover. Her hair was a stringy yellow dry mess, plus someone had cut parts of it off so I decided to give her a reroot. I preferred how she looked with platinum hair rather than the golden blonde anyway, so it wasn’t a hard decision in which colour to choose. I didn’t have her body unfortunately so I used a superstar bent arm body as it was the next best thing for that era. Luckily the bundle also came with her bodice, however it needed a repair as the stitching had come undone. I already had her jacket in my clothes case so I finally have the doll to wear it. Finally I gave her some earrings and a ring to finish the look. I’m really pleased with how she turned out, also I have wanted beauty secrets Barbie for some time as she’s one of my fave dolls, and now I finally have her.

The spiral in the forehead (denoting, of course, the "third eye" or seventh chakra, if you're into that kind of thing) and the gloopy stringy stuff in the top right are more fractals, generated by my newest toy, apophysis.

Lakefield National Park is accessible only with 4WD vehicles because there are many open watercourses to be negotiated. This photo shows a typical track in the park on flat ground, with eucalypt woodland. The dominant eucalypt species is E. Tetrodonta (stringy bark). We were headed for the Normanby River which marks the eastern boundary of the park. The park, which is huge (537,000 hectares) is the second biggest in Queensland. It is very remote.

Apparently squirrel meat can be a bit stringy. I still could not believe the size of the vulture and that it was so close. I had never seen one eating their meal before.

On Sunday, June 8, 2008, Jim, Carl, and Judy enjoyed some time on the patio at the Wyndham Grand Desert Resort and then drove to Red Rock Canyon just outside Las Vegas. On the way back, we stopped at Town Square and ate at Yard House.
I took this photo last spring and finally got a chance to see it today. I love how stringy the toads eggs are. . .

The pews were constructed of stringy bark and stained to represent oak, and were not fastened to the floor. i didn't actually use the "region (out of focus)" tool for this one :\ it came out like this haha, which i was proud of even though it looks a bit freaky. anyhow..
this photo represents the idea of a fresh start. new surroundings, new topics, new teachers, new faces, new friends and new experiences. year eleven was my worst year at portland. many people may dissagree with me and say it was their best, but maybe they made more friends rather than loose them? i don't think i did anything wrong, but i feel the saying "you finally know who you're real friends are" is true. i did find out who my true friends were, and infact still am. although i am absoloutly bricking college, i am looking foward to meeting new people there, that are into the same thing as me (:

Nana's angle was better than mine, so I'm using her iPhone XR images for this segment.
The Sorrel in the centre left has a stringy mane and a tiny star on her forehead. I named her for that feature, you guessed it: Tiny Star.
I'm using ThreeBond 1194 for the case sealant. About the easiest and neatest way to apply it is with a small paint brush with the sealant in a plastic spoon. It is very stringy, so you can catch the strings on the spoon after dipping the brush.
I love these blue corn ones; Reminds me of Bretagne crepes(Buckwheat), in texture. Better to grill them a bit, but since I don't have one, I heated these in the oven.
Smoky with a nice, smooth melt. The chocolate is delicious, but the texture of the bacon is a little stringy.
Meet the newest girl around here. She doesn't have a name yet. She has AZ's face plate, a random, normal back plate, normal lids, and Hoshinamida Hime's eye chips. Her hair is very stringy, limp Saran, which comes down to her ankles. She'll get an alpaca reroot once the new scalp and fibre arrives, for now though, she might wear a mango scalp I have spare.
