THE BATTLE OF THE MATERIALS
Wire thought he was the best, the strongest , the dominant material. Man made perfection. He could contain anything and anything he couldn't, he destroyed. He was the strong, cold, silent type, although a little stringy at times. He could do anything. Then, he met his match. Clay was natural looking, soft and passive. Relaxed and moldable to any situation. Clay wasn't looking for trouble, but wire, he ruled with a iron fist and all the newbie's in his town had to be tested. Wire circled clay, wrapping him in his cage. But it was no use. Clay just slipped through the gaps and regrouping. Enraged that he couldn't contain clay wire stepped over the line. He stabbed clay, pushing him backward into the furnace. However, wire had stabbed to deep and was pulled in after him. In his element , warm, flexible and fast wire stabbed clay multiple times all over. But it was too late and wire realized the life had left clay, leaving him hard a rigid in wired arms. Satisfied he had won wire proceeded to remove his almost liquid weapons from the wounds all over clays body, but they wouldn't budge. As clay solidified wire was trapped, forced to live forever wrapped around the statue of his final victim. It was then wire realized that he had in fact lost the battle. Clay may have lost his life, but wire had lost his freedom, doomed to an eternity of guilt and regret with their permanent embrace as a constant reminder.
In celebration of the International Year of Astronomy 2009, the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope and its companion Great Observatories: the Spitzer Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory have collaborated to produce an unprecedented image of the central region of our Milky Way galaxy. In this spectacular image, observations using infrared light and X-ray light see through the obscuring dust and reveal the intense activity near the galactic core. Note that the centre of the galaxy is located within the bright white region to the right of and just below the middle of the image. The entire image width covers about one-half a degree, about the same angular width as the full moon. Each telescope's contribution is presented in a different colour: Yellow represents the near-infrared observations of Hubble. They outline the energetic regions where stars are being born as well as reveal hundreds of thousands of stars. Red represents the infrared observations of Spitzer. The radiation and winds from stars create glowing dust clouds that exhibit complex structures from compact, spherical globules to long, stringy filaments. Blue and violet represent the X-ray observations of Chandra. X-rays are emitted by gas heated to millions of degrees by stellar explosions and by outflows from the supermassive black hole in the galaxy's centre. The bright blue blob on the left side is emission from a double star system containing either a neutron star or a black hole. When these views are brought together, this composite image provides one of the most detailed views ever of our galaxy's mysterious core.

This was an experiment in many special effects, like drool, snow/ice, blood etc. I created areas of object source lighting with snot green and scorpion green and the aid of an airbrush, what I tried to create is an overall natural look accentuated with areas of saturated colour like the greens and reds. The blood was created with layers of ink and stringy glue and water effects. The icicles are melted flying stands and the blood flying from the beasts claw is built up from fine strands of melted flying stand and water effects that beaded at the ends. The snow is bi-carb and water effects. Thankyou for looking :)
Mom's tacos, $1.89 each. Large, one carnitas (a little stringy but very tasty) and soft tongue with little flavor at all. Both had the same roasted tomato salsa. A help-yourself salsa bar had pico de gallo and a very nice tomatillo-avocado salsa that was HOT.

Sorghum cane, a crop grown on many mountain farms, was used to produce sorghum molasses. The cane was fed between the roller of the animal-powered cane mill, which squeezed out the juice. The juice was then boiled over the furnace until it turned into thick, dark, stringy molasses. Ten gallons of juice yielded about one gallon of molasses. "Long sweetening" as it was called, was used in dozens of recipes and as a syrup (Text from a National Park Service sign at the site.)
The yellow stringy stuff in this picture is actually a parasite which grows all over the other ground-cover plants and strangles them. It looks almost like silly string or spider webs and is sticky -- very strange!
Zinnia flower in the process of unfurling its petals. I really love this picture, especially full size. For some reason it makes me hungry. It kinda looks like the curled petals are made of candy coated with sugar on the outside and those stringy things remind me of spaghetti. *lol*
(Excuse the odd format, but I made this to fit as desktop wallpapers / screensaver images for my widescreen laptop.)
According to Quantum FFF Theory Axions are so called dark matter Quantum Knots or Glueballs, based on three or four interlocking stringy EM photons created by solar flare interference. The XMM Newton observatory seem to have recently identified solar Axions by measuring the seasonal variable x-ray result.
Large Axions with multiple interlocking photons are called Dark Matter Black Holes, incidentaly expelled from the sun and assumed to form primordial Comet nuclei.

From left: Hairy Rosewood, Silky Oak, Red Cedar just coming into leaf, and Blue Fig. Behind is a Stringy Bark, a tree with a dark grey fluted trunk and one with a large, straight white trunk, with no 'skirt', a Eucalypt. . . . . . photo KR
One gallon of turkey.
I've never been all that interested in leftover turkey. It's so stringy and never seems to taste the same as it did when it was freshly prepared.
Thanksgiving at our place went off without a hitch. It seemed like it was over too soon considering the amount of preparation we did in the previous week.
My nephew loved exploring our toy collection. He especially liked the large tin of Lego bricks and the R/C truck. We never even got around to playing with the Atari.
Shopping on Black Friday was not nearly as crazy as I was expecting.
My first tutorial over at Sew Mama Sew is up - a simple, yet stunning string pillow - go check it out!
Just south of slipway at Knott End. Eating stringy filamentous algae from the mud surface. Each beak full is given a wash in a puddle first.
A tree, night sky and what I think is the stringy stuff out of a party popper thingy. I just quite like that I caught it when it was in the air :,)
Super crispy, like a Potato Galette! Filled inside is a Mozzarella-like Stringy cheese that has a hint of salty tang. To complement this greatness, is a grassy Watercress and vine ripened Cherry Tomatoes from the Chef's rooftop garden. Superb!
