This is a string art piece that I like to call "Exception". No matter how grey things get, you can still bloom...
It is made of a wooden background, 1800 steel nails, strings and some wire.
All of my artwork is handmade and available at www.thestringartstudio.etsy.com.

Today Mandy Willard and I did another walk from Southease up onto the downs towards and through Telscombe and then back via Rodmell. The views were amazing and it was a really lovely walk. The weather was really kind to us so a big variety of images for the day from muck spreading which smelt really good to landscapes and a few birds for good measure. It was an area we will certainly explore more.
More of Diana's update pix of Kita and Taj. I like this pair because Diana says that Kita is extremely active with the string and insists on big games of chase with someone pulling the string for him. For Taj's version of 'string' see the following photo.
What really makes me very very happy is that Diana reports that Kita 'turned a corner' with her. He now likes to come and sit next to her when she relaxes and seems pleased to be with her. He kept a bit of distance before.
This one is a large string art piece inspired by the metal band Metallica. The actual music sheet of their anti-war song "One" is depicted, only with a small omission in order to fit in the size of the background. It is all made of strings and nails, along with some wire.
The music key alone has almost 200 steel nails. The whole piece has over 1700 of them.
All of my artwork is handmade and available at www.thestringartstudio.etsy.com.

I found that using my walking foot helped keep the fabric where it ought to be. I loved working with these fabrics - they were gorgeous!
