A Christmas gift for my mom. I've been wanting to make her a quilt, and I've been loving all of the other string quilts I've been seeing. I used the tutorial from FITF and it went very smoothly. Finished over about 3 weeks time using every spare minute I had! Finished quilt is about 60X70

No apologies for the honking breath - this stuff tastes as good as it looks. Every clove of this French garlic gives a taste bud ecstacy =)
For some reason, this idea just amused the heck out of me. So much so that I searched through one trunk and four boxes to find sheet music. This was written by a guy I dated in the summer of ‘74. He was talented and had an ego to match. Discovered him on Facebook in the past decade and concluded the ego was WAY less appealing at this stage of life.

A notice was tied to this tree some time ago and has gone but the nylon string has not. It's very tight and one can just see that the tree is growing over it. The ever-handy Swiss Army Knife came to the rescue.

Strings swooping and draping and wrapping through nature and form. Red and white they weave through the bushes and railroad ties ever searching for their place. Sticks wrapped in red create veined, living feel to the ties breathing life into an already dead tree.
